I put on makeup to shovel snow this morning. And same, my big event is grocery pick up at King Soopers.

@FrostyBabe1. If you lived where I live, you'd be precluded from going to the gym, dining out, shopping in many stores as well as a plethora of other things as they have all been closed since last March.  We feel we should do what's best for our fellow citizens of the state.

But I don't live where you do, so I'm not subject to those restrictions. I follow those in place where I live.  Clearly, you're looking for an argument, which I'll not give you. However; your response is perfect example of why so many posters, including me, choose to no longer post here or have greatly reduced their participation. @FrostyBabe1  There's judgement here if you say it's a nice day!

I do as well.  Sometimes I drive to the post office just to drop something in the mail there, just to GET OUT and I change my clothes for that too.

I don't want to start a fight, but where in the US are stores & restaruants still closed?  I live in New York State and these have been open, on a limited basis, for months.  Are there really states mores strict than New York?  California, maybe?  Honest question.

@FrostyBabe1. Don't tell me what I'm looking for.  I do not argue here.  I state  the facts and my position and that's it.  You go forth and tiptoe through the tulips or whatever turns you on.

When I retired 8 years ago, I settled comfortably into a stay at home lifestyle.   I absolutely love staying home, and do not feel impacted in any way by state shutdowns and restrictions.

We keep all of our medical appointments, get a pedicure and groceries monthly.   Hair is done every 5 weeks and our friend comes here for that appointment.   Our normal routine during flu season is to stay home and away from others as much as possible. Covid has simply prompted us to take even more precautions, but we still do what has to be done.

I've been working from home for 5+ years.  Up to last March, I would go into the office once a week & looked forward to getting dressed up, full face of make-up, etc., but still enjoyed working from home the other 4 days.  I haven't been in the office since last March & miss having those days of being able to wear my office clothes, a full face of make-up, etc., even if it was only one day a week.  I suppose I could put on a full face of make-up every day, but no one sees me except my husband & puppy (my employer doesn't mandate we turn on video for meetings) & my husband thinks it's silly to go through all that when I'm at home all day, every day.

Me too! My hubby and Kingston love me just as much with or without makeup, I'm still me!

It has been going on two weeks since I left the house and put REAL clothes on.  Is that weird or something? I am not depressed or unhappy. Just like staying home and being in comfy clothes.  Go on my dog walks... work in the yard... etc.

Going out somewhere is so much work.  I just have everything delivered anymore since the pandemic started.  Would rather not go into a store and I am starting to like that more and more.

Is this the new norm?

@SeaMaiden  I'm glad it's not just me. I went to the market yesterday for the first time in a month. I was down to bare bones as far as food goes so I had no choice. We don't have grocery delivery in my area, and I used to sort of enjoy going, but now I use any excuse to put off errands. By the time I got ready, did a huge shopping trip, and pu all of that stuff away, I was exhausted and anxious to put my sweats on. The weather hasn't helped as we were careening from snow storm to snow storm. Today is warmer and sunny, so maybe my malaise is temporary.  I'm not really depressed, just ready for a change.
