Hi,

I just finished  my taxes with Turbo Tax and what I want to know will I get a notice from the IRS if it was approved or not? I haven't done my taxes for years while working now we have both retired  it was pretty easy. But, I remember years ago I used to do mine and had to wait from an approval from the IRS  to tell me if it was approved or not. Thanks.

Yes, I got one by email about a week or maybe less after doing them.

I should have said, I got an email showing they were received soon after submitting them, and then a week or so later a confirmation that they had been accepted.

Seems to me that I just got a notice that it was received.

You receive an email that the documents have been submitted and not long after email(s) stating that the returns have been accepted or not.

We always  mail our turbo tax. Never get any kind of acknowledgment....I always say no news is good news when it comes to the IRS😄

I received e-mails from TurboTax when my returns were accepted by the IRS and my state.   It seems like I received them both by the following day.

I received an email and a text message from Turbo tax letting me know that the IRS has accepted my tax return.   I checked the IRS website and it shows that it has been received. It does not show that it was approved yet but the refund has already been deposited in my account.

TurboTax asks you how you want to be contacted and I selected both text and email. I received confirmation that it was submitted electronically and another confirmation that it was accepted. Both Federal and state.

I get emails and text messages.  Turbo Tax lets me know that it is on it's way, when my State has been accepted, and when my federal has been accepted.  It also let's me know if I have an error.  I had an error (a stupid one nothing major) but it kicked it back and let me resubmit and tracked it again.  I always know where it is with Turbo Tax.

It depends on the IRS. They seem to be slower this year than prior years. It was a week before they accepted mine this year.
