Tracking Returns Sent USPS From UPS Store

I know QVC does returns this way, but I've forgotten what the procedure is.  I was hoping someone could help me.  I had a return to Nordstrom with a USPS tracking #.  I took it to the UPS store a couple of days ago.  The tracking info says "delivered to agent."  Is that what it will say until it's delivered to Nordstrom, or does the tracking info pick up and trace the route?

 

I returned something to QVC this way a while ago, but forget what happened with the tracking.

 

Edited to say that I took this to the UPS store on Thurs., Nov. 8.  It says it was picked up by the shipping agent on Sat., Nov. 10.  This is Wed., Nov. 14, and there's been no further tracking info.  I think it obviously is better to take it to the post office, but there's always such a long line at our branch.  I guess this is the price I pay for not doing that.

I just had a return for Amazon and they gave me instructions to take to UPS store, and it was a UPS tracking number.   If I had a USPS tracking I would have tried the post office first.

IMO delivered to Agent means you delivered it to UPS Store. Tracking should pick up once it's on it's way & in the system. Moday was a holiday so USPS is always behind after one but I would think it would show some tracking info by tomorrow or Fri for sure. If it does not I would call USPS since you shipped it at the UPS Store but shipped USPS.

@Robertak  The UPS store takes USPS returns now.  There is never a line at the UPS store and there's always a long long line at the post office.  It's usually about a 30 minute wait.

You may be right @Nightowlz.  It also says "picked up by the shipping agent."  I thought I remembered from the past that that means it was picked up by someone at the post office.  I could be wrong, because I don't remember much about the process at all.

 

Edited to say:  I just looked it up, and I took it to the UPS store on Thursday, Nov. 8.  It says it was picked up by the shipping agent on Saturday, Nov. 10.  There's no further information since then.

My UPS store also has USPS service.  But for some reason, whenever I return a USPS package there, I also can not get return tracking information.  When I return at the post office, I never have any trouble with tracking, even though the packages often move slowly.

@geezerette  I'm not sure I'll take my USPS packages to the UPS store again.  I just hate standing in line so long at the post office though.  I'll be glad when I get the email from Nordstrom saying they got my return.

After the first couple of times with no tracking, I haven’t been back to the UPS store, unless I have a UPS package to return.  I have no problems with them!  But one time my USPS package was actually lost and I had no information with which to argue the point.  After that happened I figured that even if I have to wait in line at the post office, it’s worth it in the end.

I have the tracking #, because it was on the Nordstrom return label I used on the package.  I always take a picture of the label.  The tracking info just doesn't show up all along the way if you drop it off at the UPS store I don't think.  It shows that I dropped it off and that a USPS agent picked it up, but that's all since Saturday.  If it gets lost I think I could prove to Nordstrom that I shipped it since I have that info.  @geezerette

USPS Smartlabel returns, once "picked up by agent" after taking it to the post office, are tracked though this site, http://www.tracking.smartlabel.com/
