Many years ago my great aunt and uncle experienced a tornado that literally went down just one side of their street.  Their side was ok, but houses up and down the block on the opposite side were destroyed.  Their close friends, who lived across the street, were killed.  Hard to imagine, for sure.

I am in the vicinity but wasn't touched.  Lot of wind, rain, thunderstorms.

 

Tornadoes are very spotty in their damage.  They move up and down and can even skip houses.  Very strange.
