...lots of grasshoppers hollering tonight....I wonder if it's the "season of love" for grasshoppers?"  Woman LOL

@YorkieonmyPillow, probably ... I believe they mate in the Spring and in the Fall.

Around here the crickets & cicadas have been extremely noisy lately. Even during the day but way worse at night when it's like one big screeching fest. For the past couple of weeks there's a cricket (or 2 or more) out in my garage which is attached to my house that has to be the loudest one this side of the Mississippi. If only I could find that little bugger.

 

Up until a few weeks ago it was those little tan toads croaking to beat the band. For such small creatures they sure are ridiculously loud. Even on comfortable nights it was impossible to sleep with bedroom windows open thanks to those pests.
