April 15 used to be a big deal ... post offices staying open to midnight so ppl can sneak in under the wire.  Now it's just another day.

@Group 5 minus 1    we have to pay city taxes and we live outside of the city limits AND we cannot vote in city elections        checked with 2 lawyer friends and it is legal   HUH

@mrshckynut Can't help but think of the phrase "taxation without representation" and wonder how this can be legal ?

@mrshckynut   I know that is just so unfair.  The city I live in has an unincorporated area, although they still bare our city's name. They do pay county taxes.  But they aren't eligible to enroll their kids in Community services programs for kids without paying an out of town fee.  It used to be they couldn't vote for city elections, but I think they can now. But they can't vote on bonds or measures as they are liable to the county. Real confusing.
