38 years with someone like Bill isn’t enough...any # of years would not be enough when you truly love and are loved by that person !!!

Meeting again will happen.  In the meantime, I hope you talk to him...I believe they can hear you.  The love continues on and never dies.

Peace and happiness !

Your husband sounded like a fine person.  What a wonderful attitude he had.  Thank you for sharing your sweet memories of him.

@jlkz-

So true.

It is never enough especially when there is so much love.

I too think that love does continue on with those we love and are not here with us anymore.

I raise a glass and toast Bill today on the anniversary of his birth.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

@Annabellethecat66

I’m thinking of, you and both Bills today. Heart

You are blessed to have a love like the one you have.  It doesn’t come to everyone, and you were smart enough to recognize the gift of it.

No, the pain does not go away, but thankfully neither do those loving memories.

@Annabellethecat66 ~ There are many days during the year that are especially bittersweet, when it comes to loved ones.  Carry on in your loving and sweet memories, @Annabellethecat66.  It helps to know we will (all) be together again!  ❤️🌹❤️  "Happy Birthday"

Re: Today My Late Husband Would have Turned 71.

@Annabellethecat66  Checking in to say "Hi" on Bill's birthday and to wish you and feline, Bill, a wonderful evening. Although I don't live in the past, a loving marriage between best friends based on trust and respect is the best. Sounds like neither of us would have settled for anything less. Confident we'll both see our husband's again. I used to see mine in my dreams; haven't since my mom's death in July. Guess he was helping me through her last years (which were oh, so stressful) and knows I'm doing fine now. Give Bill (the cat) a hug for me, Linda! I do miss having a feline around, but not enough to adopt one another one. Blessings.
