About the only thing that makes me feel good at 68 yrs. old, is that I have been married to my DH for 33 yrs, he is my best friend and we are still in love! I'd be lost without him!

I feel good in knowing that at my age, I finally realized that I am good enough just the way I am! I never had any confidence or self esteem, never felt I had any positive qualities. Now, I know that I am just fine the way I am. There will always be people who are smarter, better looking, have a better figure, more money, better education, etc., but accepting who you are and appreciating all the good qualities you possess --- I'm finally at that point! Granted, I still don't have a lot of confidence and have a hard time accepting compliments, but nevertheless, I know that I'm a good person. I genuinely care for others and try to not be judgmental or harsh. Self-acceptance! I know that comparing yourself to others is a recipe for disaster. My level of success will be different from your level of success.

@SeaMaiden We all think of these things and it is so good to hear others' points of view! Thank you!

I feel good about:
Not looking or feeling my age.
Being married to my darling for 38 years
Keeping a beautiful home that gives me great pleasure everyday
Having lifelong friends that love me
Being positive and trying to find the good in life
The dogs and cats that I have had for the last 25 years
Finally be able to say NO and meaning it......

I’m not yet 60, but sure have enjoyed reading this thread. It’s given me a lot to think about. 😊

I am just now reading your comment to me (3rd post after original post)
I am sure that I had what some would consider a “normal” childhood. From the outside mine looked like a gum commercial...I was told by a good friend.
”Who wants gum?” All in family raised their hands.
”I do, I do!”
In their later years, after I left, dysfunctions surfaced.

That I treat others with respect as I want to be treated. I am kind, have empathy and consideration of others. It all comes back to you. Also I do have a strong faith that I show with my actions. I normally don’t share myself but thought it was a great discussion.
