This weather is nuts.....

Okay, I love warm weather and I do hope I'm not tempting fate by complaining about 80 degrees on September 29th. I don't want to rush into winter but I do want to put on my fall clothes. I want to wear my suede ankle boots and I want to wear my comfy turlenecks and wrap my lovely scarves and ruanas around my body. I want to stop using my air conditioner. But, Summer just won't leave us. We're supposed to get a couple of days of heavy rain and that's a good thing because we haven't had much rain and we need it. But they are saying it will be a warm, muggy, tropical type of storm. Even as we wait the the deluge; the sun is out in full force. Shining as bright as it would on hot July day. And it's after 4pm....how bizarre is that?

They say don't rush it. But here in Indiana the next 7 days will be in the 60's and I'm so happy! Finally feels like fall! I've been cooking all day - just feels like that kind of weather.

chrystaltree.....I don't know what part of the country you are in but we are having the same type of weather in southern Ct. I had to dig out a summer top today.....Last Sunday I was freezing and went looking for a long sleeve one. lol.

We've had mid to upper 70's and nothing but sunshine for a couple weeks. It does get very chilly at night. However, yesterday and today have been very, very muggy and sticky although the temps haven't been that high. Today it has been drizzly and ugly all day long.

I think our good fortune is supposed to come to an end. They are predicting low to mid 60's for the most part, Saturday is only supposed to be in the mid 50's and our night temps are supposed to be low 40's. That is turn on the heat cold.

I'm in Philly and we are having the same weather as you, chrystaltree (except it's not sunny right now). Yesterday was 85. I don't know today's temperature, but it's hot and muggy and my air is on. I remember some years having to use the air until the middle of October. I hate that because autumn is my favorite season and it's really hard to enjoy it when you only get a few weeks of cool, crisp air. They say after a few days of heavy downpours, it sould cool off somewhat. The temperature is supposed to finally drop to 60 on Thursday. I'm not a fan of summer and am so ready for it to be over.

@chrystaltree. where are you? It has been 90 here this week when it should be in mid 70's. A cold front is due to move in this week-end so that ought to cool things off. I'm looking forward to it.

chrystaltree - We are having the same weather in NYC today - except now it is cloudy. I had to put the a/c back on - I thought we were done with it until next year.

I can't wait to wear my fall clothes and put the heat on. Enough with the 80 degrees and humidity!!

Yesterday was 81 and today is 59. Supposed to stay around 60 for the next week. They say the heat is behind us. That's okay by me.

We've had an unusually wonderful September this year here in upper MI. Just today its finally turned cool. We had 3 weeks of gorgeous almost 80 degree weather every single day with no rain. We were able to get all of our many chores done this year in gorgeous weather. I'm freezing today and am telling myself to get use to it because its going to be cold till next April. Yuck! Hate Fall, Hate Winter!!
