The Stones in Cuba

[ Edited ]

I'm watching The Today Show right now and they just did a really nice piece on the FREE concert that the Rolling Stones did in Cuba last night.  There were thousands of extremely happy excited Cubans who just soaked it all up.  What a fabulous thing for Mick and the boys to do there.

If any of you have ever seen the Stones in concert you KNOW just how fab these guys are.  They love to play the crowds who see them from the youngest to folks in their 70s & 80s, maybe older even!

The news people who were there talked to some of the fans there and they (fans) were over the top ecstatic about seeing the band.  How great for them!

The Stones is a band that still delivers after 50 years!  I've seen them many times (most recent last summer in Raleigh) and you're right, they love to perform (do they really need more money now?) and to do a free concert in Cuba was wonderful.  Wish I was there!

It's amazing!  They all still look the same and are so energetic!  Good going guys!

I'm sorry, but I think of the Stones as the '1 foot in the grave' band.

I'm 68 and NO the Stones did NOT look like this 50 years ago ha ha ha! I recall an early interview with Mick Jagger who said he wouldn't be performing when he got "old" (his word) as he said "who wants to listen to a 40 year old Rolling Stone."  That quote still makes me chuckle. Little did he know!

@DecorDiva  No doubt Ms Diva - had I been there, I would've been there too.  Afterall it's only rock & roll and I LIKE IT!
