After working in retail, I observed lots of people picking items to buy. I got to thinking that people think there is "a perfect Tomato" (in this case). And they are trying to find that perfect item.

And while they are looking they are afraid that the tomato someone else picked up was "perfect" and they missed it.

@Icegoddess  hahahaha Sorry, but I laughed thru your whole post. I could picture it. I've seen it. A good reason to wash your produce when you get home. You know someone has been squeezing everything in your bag. Especially peaches!!!

Also laughed about the lady picking her basket. People are nuts!

@05gage25 I will have to try the Compari until tomatoes in season are ready.  My favorite tomato is San Marzano.  I saw and ate them in Naples where they grow best in the front lawns of houses because they thrive in the volcanic touched soil.  A small farm a few miles from my house offers a few San Marzanos.

@RoughDraft  I totally agree with you 're the Compari tomatoes.  Even in the dead of winter in CT, they are always soooo tasty.

I have kidney issues so I can't eat tomatoes. High in potassium. Which is a shame because there's nothing better than a soggy tomato sandwich!!

I do like the Campari tomatoes, but my addiction is to Kumato tomatoes. They have spoiled me from getting any others.

Our TJ stores carry them in my area. I buy three packages every week.
