The original poster shows a level of class that the haters and QVC management doesn't have.  It was clear to anyone who is a regular user of the boards what your thread contained.  The haters could easily bypass the thread.  In fact, I only occasionally read it, but I always thought it contained positive messages.  No one fought over their beliefs on this thread.  QVC, take a look at what I've ordered since 1988 and watch what I will buy from this point on.  Oh, and QVC might want to stop with their Christmas programming that lasts five months out of the year if they are so opposed to what the holiday symbolizes for much of the population.

Well, here I am again.  Just can't resist.  While coming here to this forum, an interesting assortment of jewelry popped up.  Any guess?  "My Saint, My Hero."  I'm just gonna rush to buy their religious stuff - in their dreams.  Such hypocrisy.

Re: The Last Daily Positive Thread

You will never know how embarrassed I am that this is the first time I've read your thread! I am a practicing Christian, and am ashamed that I read it today to only to find out what was going on! I will ask God for forgiveness that I would be able to make time for gossiping on the General Hospital thread, feed my vanity by reading Beauty posts, and share with others my reading list before letting you feed my soul with your beautiful posts! So, Miss GloriaJean, today you reached me, touched my heart, and sent a sweet tune to my soul! I shall miss reading this from now on, and will turn to Him to pick up where you are being forced to leave off! As for Him, He is used to this type of rejection. People have tried worse ways of preventing His word from being shared. Those of us who follow His word and try to share it, live on, and will find another outlet for our sharing. But, to those who were so afraid that letting you continue to post here would make a real difference in some way to those who are frightened at the thought that having Him close will make them spiritually accountable, or find the fact that so many of us find such comfort in His words or words about His love, I'd like to say that the simple act of acknowledging this fear by closing down this thread can't silence His word. Those of us who believe in Him and those like GloriaJean, who spread His word so eloquently, will continue to hear it with our hearts, read it with our souls, and speak it in our love. I pray that you will find special blessings for all of the souls you've touched all these years!

Never underestimate the power of kindness.

@Imadickens you've said it all.  I've been thinking about this all day.  The ones who try to silence it do so out of their fears.  Everything you said couldn't be truer. But what bothers me most is that GloriaJean represented more than just faith and religion.  She never posted anything other than support, love, encouragement, and all good things.  She was not hurtful nor judgemental.  She deserves more than the way QVC has treated her.  She brought goodness to us all here and they've managed to destroy it and take it away.  In the past when there have been posts putting down QVC, I always stuck up for them.  I can't do that any longer.

good point, but not in their minds, It only symbolizes a commercial holiday, they don't have to ever mention it being a Christian holiday, one that billions of people oberve not for the gift giving but for the holiness of the day to their faith. Sadly, this country has become one where the politically correct thing to do is side with those who want to do away with our Judeo Christian beginnings. And our flag, our anthem, just about anything this country was founded on. I cannot say what else I'd like to because it will be removed. Shameful that they bowed to the pressure of a few people who just had to make a point of how wrong it was to let a peaceful, spiritual thread stay up. One that no one ever had to see or read if they so choose. Kinda like a tv program full of violence and nudity, you know it's there, that stuff offends you, so you don't watch. But it stays on air because apparently some do want to watch. Choices. Little by little, our own choices and freedoms are being taken away. Too bad people seem blind to that fact.

Pink Sunset:  You have said it all!!!  That's exactly what's going on in this country.  I only wish there were more people who would wake up before it's too late.

I only hope some will read your comments before this is poofed!

Re: The Last Daily Positive Thread

Good morning,

It has been a while since I've been around and when I do this morning, what do I see, but this. I truly am sad and yes, I am crying, to know that the Q has decided to close this wonderful and uplifting thread. I suppose someone complained. But, you know, all is well.

I've met some lovely women on this thread and they have been in my heart and mind throughout the years.

I came to this thread, I guess, 5-6 years ago. One that particular day, I had been called a troll by some hateful and spiteful women and men. I'd never been on forums such as this so to be called a troll....and not even knowing what that meant at the time, hurt my feelings. When I read Gloria's thread that day, I asked if I could join in. Of course, with an open hand and heart, she said welcomed me, as did all the other sweet women. Such a breath of fresh air. It was right then I knew I belonged.

We've shared stories, lives, heartaches and troubles. We've shared joyful times. Prayers have been requested, received and answered. This was one place I knew, deep within my heart, that I could come and ask for prayer and prayers would be said.

So ladies. Gloria has my email and my name. Should you desire to write me or follow me on facebook, please feel free to ask her. Gloria, I give my permission.

Peace, many blessings, and lots of love.

I'll be see y'all.
