The Fresh Market - Christmas Dinner - anyone ?

I have been seriously considering the purchase a The Fresh Market small size Turkey Dinner for Christmas.

This meal consists of a TURKEY BREAST, mashed potatoes, bacon green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce ...

Has anyone tried any of these meals ?  The reviews are good.

I KNOW there will be other sides and a ham brought in - but I thought I would try to cheat and get the basics taken care of.  The last big dinner we had the home made mac and cheese barely made it to the table while the mashed potato's (5 pounds) where barely touched.

Would you be offended ?

My neighbor did that for Thanksgiving.  I don't know if it was Fresh Market, but food was delivered around noon, her guests arrived about fifteen minutes later, her guests left several hours later, and about fifteen minutes later the caterers arrived to cart everything away.   No fuss, no muss.  I was kind of surprised but I don't know her well and her place is small so it would be hard to entertain and fix a big meal.

I think no one will be offended.  A Fresh Market meal would be quite good.

Why would anyone be offended ? You are opening your home to celebrate the holiday, I say go for it, you will be less stressed and can enjoy your company. Happy Holiday ! 🎄🎄

We bought a ham from The Fresh Market one Christmas and it was one of the best I've ever had. I'm not a fan of hams with sweet glaze.

I've been looking at their sales recently as I heard they were bought out and they just upgraded some of the stores in Charlotte to include more "housekeeping" type items.

I am going to put my order in ... their baked goods and produce is always fresh - and worth the price IMO but the frozen veggies, kitchen staple items are so expensive.

I just felt like I was cheating I soppose ... but I have not been up to cooking big meals anymore.  Throwing these items in the oven to re-heat is more my style.  Plus I will have other 'work' that day.

Thanks for weighing in.  I will check back with my 'assessment' after Christmas.

What ?  - I did not know The Fresh Market was sold or merged with someone else.

They have housekeeping items in our store - which is not huge - but the supplies are more 'au natural' - no Clorox on their shelves.

TFM is great if you have to bring a dessert - they have the best cookies, sweet breads, pies and the breads are excellent - dessert or cheese breads - you can't go wrong.

The meat and seafood is excellent - but very expensive ... unless you get these items 'on sale'.  Next month I believe is when TFM has lobster and shrimp on sale -

There is a Trader Joe's a block from our TFM  -  and their prices are better.  However Trader Joe's will be moving from their current location to a mile or so down the road.

Re: The Fresh Market - Christmas Dinner - anyone ?

I got the Fresh Market Thanksgiving Dinner which consisted of the same items they are including for this Christmas dinner.  MY family thought the dinner was very good.  I did feel that the stuffing was on the dry side but I had a can of chicken stock on hand so I put about a quarter can in a crock pot with the stuffing and heated it on low for a couple of hours.  IT moistened the stuffing quite nicely
