That salad looks AMAZING!!!🤩❤️

Looks like my diet will be the same for another 5 1/2 months...nothing harder to chew than a very ripe banana 🍌

I NEVER thought I'd get tired of milk shakes, ice cream, mashed potatoes and spaghetti-o's until now!  I'm basically eating mush lol.  I'm SO HUNGRY for real food!  😋😔

I hear ya!  I have to give up solid food (and my desire to chew) to move to a clear liquid diet for a procedure on Friday.

Can you have yogurt?

I've been eating skyr.  Specifically...

I didn't know you were having a procedure this week.  Please update us about how you're doing as soon as you can.  Of course, we'll talk a lot until then.😃❤️

I'm not a hummingbird either lol...that was Terrific!😂😂😂

Re: The Bee Hive -- September 2024 Edition

Hi All. I hope you are all doing well. I am not sure how I am doing. Nothing bad, nothing good. This is a weird feeling. I have had it a few times now. Not sure I like it. Makes me restless. I think it is when I have so much to do and don't know where to start. I have to start somewhere but keep jumping around.

Going into the Fall, I need to start focusing in on what I am consuming both diet and just consumption. I bought products I didn't need. I have a ton to get through. And, I have been eating too much fast food. I am proud of myself though because at least I have been leaving all junk food at the store. It has been tough but nothing has come home with me for a couple of weeks now. Thats big for me. I no longer fool myself with portion control. I don't know what that is. I am an emotional eater and need to replace that with something else. Maybe exercise. Now there is a thought.

My home is now a storage unit. I have the last of my parents stuff here and need to start making decisions. I am thinking simplicity is the way to go. Can I finally get there. 🤔 this mess is making me think yes.

Have a great day. Posting on phone is not ideal.

Re: The Bee Hive -- September 2024 Edition

hey all

really not to much today

did hang out today-nice day good breeze

did get out the 1st fall outdoor flag for outside today

dh did a walmart run for a few items-minor ones but i was out of my bananas so needed them.

he said walmart was packed-school begins tomorrow for us.

got a call from my sister yesterday-it was the most odd bizarre call ever heard-all she dwells is on the past and all the "EVIL" done to her-was it done or not can not say-but then she began to bash our faith we were raised in from infants- i couldn't even get a word in edgewise she was just telling me really evil things about what we were raised in-I am still a practicing Catholic some of the rules are odd and very old but i follow them it just made me so angry and hurt- I told my dh yesterday i can't take anymore of her calls, he would have to answer the calls and tell her i am either busy or can't talk with her at this time-i know her she will keep calling back till dh tells her to stop calling or we change our phone number-even called a dear old friend who is a friend of the family from 1st grade to high school and beyond-we grew up together. she even admitted to me my sisterall she talks about is the evil done to her but her mind is still sharp she can tell you what you ate 25 years and what wedding she sang for all those long years ago (she was a semi professional singer for years), she was a heavy smoker for years too did that affect her brain do not know.

that was my afternoon yesterday

Tough one.  Sounds like you're stocked up on necessities so you won't need to shop for anything else until 2025.  First thing: Stop bringing the unnecessary items into your home.

Sounds like you're being crushed by the stuff.  When my sister and her husband cleared out my mother's houses, they put a lot of things in storage units -- out of sight and out of mind.  Yet they paid for that every month for years.  You definitely don't want to store things.  The weight of it will wear you down and you'll do the whole emotional eating thing again.

You could focus on the four months left of the year and maybe tackle one big thing per month.  Self-care in September.  Eating better, getting out for walks.  Thinking about what you want in 2025.

October.  Decide what stays and what goes.  Donate what you can.

We've been programmed to multitask and sometimes I think we're not that good at it.  Focus on one thing at a time until it's not a problem anymore.

It's a lot, but you gotta start somewhere.  Pick an area and just start.  Even a little progress will make you feel better. Heart

This all sounds eerily familiar.  Do we have the same sister?
