BH's Glerups have pretty much fallen apart while mine are holding up.  But if I were to order a couple replacement pairs, would one be...

My current pair has held up pretty well so I'm in no hurry to replace them.  But a red pair would be nice.Heart

Took the dog out for a walk and to pick up a bag of kibble and I came home to a text and call asking if I can work tonight.  I was told it was covered -- that's why I agreed to work Saturday.  Three shifts is pushing it, I think.  Especially since I've been up all day.

And so it begins...

Re: The Bee Hive -- September 2022 Edition

Went to the grocery store to search for things to bring to work to snack on.  (Can't go in tonight -- I think two shifts is more prudent.)  Anyway, I kept asking BH: Where's the food?

We couldn't even buy potatoes for baking.  Very few available and they looked terrible.  Ended up with yams.

Not a lot of tomatoes -- I guess they're still on the highway in California.  One whole section of the refrigerated section in the produce area was empty so I'm not even sure what was missing there.

Slim pickings.  (But tons of Halloween candy.Woman LOL)

Holiday weekend?  No, BH says it looks like this all the time.

Sad.

I’m hot.

I’m grumpy.

I’m hot and grumpy. And living with the place closed up dark.

And I want some Coke Zero and they didn’t have any. None of the stores have any.

🥺😠

I see you posted that over on CC.  It's getting more than a little ridiculous out there.

And I've heard about the heatwave in California.

Definitely a recipe for grumpy.

Re: The Bee Hive -- September 2022 Edition

Speaking of grumpy...

The powers-that-be in New Mexico want to increase the taxes on alcohol.  The taxes in this state are already steep.

We are 24th in the nation for high taxes on distilled spirits at $6.06 per gallon.

Beer?  We're 14th in the country at 41 cents a gallon.

Wine?  We're 5th highest in the country at $1.70 per gallon.  Surprising because we have the New Mexico wine industry.  Might explain why it's not much of an industry...

Re: The Bee Hive -- September 2022 Edition

I think I'm an outlaw.  I bought my last case of wine in Delaware (no sales tax).  No longer have a vehicle with a DE tag....geez it was a pretty license plate, too.

But I can get my wine in Jersey for just as cheap.  Prices seem to vary.  Maybe Delaware hides the sales tax....who knows....Liquor stores would've been closed before we got home, so I just had to!

All my cleaning is done.  My house is so clean it's disgusting.  I worked hard.

Speaking of work....I'm gonna miss you @just bee Heart  I know you love your job and that is awesome.  I loved my job, too.  My screensave literally scrolled.....................I love my job..............I love my job..............I love my job..................I love my job............and it's because I DID.

It seemed to aggravate people around me.Woman Frustrated

Anyways, I'll be glad to see you when you're posting.  I hope work isn't too demanding.  I hope you're healed!  I hope you get an appetite back.  (When you said you were craving a slab of steak---I wanted to sear one for you---I can cook a mean steak!
