Hello to one and all! Woke up with sore shoulder and a headache! ...I will survive with Tylenol and Epsom salts!

Crazy times heading into November.....need I say more. Wishing 🤐 I can't tell you what I am thinking but you can all guess. Remember, I like things small!
Definitely not big.....🤐

Beautiful balloons! We had those in Colorado Springs when I lived there. Always fun to see.
I am glad I don't live there now though! It has boomed since we left. It used to have a small town vibe 30 years ago....things have changed 🧐

@Brisky

I remember when Mountain View, California had a small town vibe.  Because it was a small town... before the birth of Silicon Valley.

He should have saved his breath! 😉

But maybe be a little more careful and don't do quite so much to let that blister heal...?

I wonder what the price is on those balloons? Anybody know approximately?

@Brisky

It's hard to say.  Ballpark is probably $20-50K but it depends on the size and design of the envelope.  A special shape balloon is probably more than $100K.

But then there's all the equipment, the basket, a trailer, a vehicle to transport it, a pilot's license, insurance...

My tea was delivered already!Heart

Thumbnail of Biscochito

All the flavors of a biscochito cookie in a cup -- and none of the calories! A staple of the New Mexican holiday season, the biscochito is a flat, crumbly, butter-based cookie livened up with anise seed and cinnamon for a warming bite.

Green tea, Roasted Green Tea, Roasted Rice, Anise Seeds, Cinnamon, Calendula Petals, Sunflower Petals, Natural Flavors

I hope this one tastes even half as good as it smells.  I figured it would be a good choice for Balloon Fiesta.

And we just made a bunch of breakfast burritos, too.  Celebrating the Fiesta's 50th anniversary.

I have a relative in Washington State that used to have a balloon company.  They were just plain, not fancy like yours at the Fiesta.  But I have no idea how much they cost or how much maintenance was.

We used to crew with a couple coworkers/friends who had balloons.  It was fun but also hard work.  Not an inexpensive hobby.  And wind is a real problem.  I've seen the envelope catch fire -- no bueno.

Haven't been to the Balloon Park for the event in a very long time.  I'd rather watch from a distance.  And the television coverage is good, too.

I like the black cat, not the black licorice.

Now, red licorice is another story.

At least it used to be, when I could chew it. 🦷
