This is an invite to our crazy crib where you can come and break it down! I say we go 18 karat on this and really swing.  If healthy eating’s not your bag, no problem.  But if it is, I dig.

It’s cool, I’m booted, let’s jump!

Still posting both on The Hive.

@just bee

Ha!  It's been so long since I've been to the beginning of this thread I forgot!🤦‍♀️

I guess you can only do that there now if you start another Bee Hive thread.  I don't think a way to insert a post in between others. Maybe seasonally or monthly again?  If you want to bother.

I'm wondering how a long-running thread will work there.  There's a place to bookmark, but it doesn't keep a thread at the top like floating does here.

@geezerette I hope you don't mind me jumping in here but I was having the same problem which was annoying to say the least. However, if you click on a thread and click the word new highlighted in blue, it should take you to the first unread post for you.

Oh, I found that out too.  But I mean floating a thread to the top of the other threads like you can do here.  It's easier to find the ones I regularly read and post in that way.

And don't ever worry about 'butting in'.  I don't think that's possible here!😉

    Oooh, gotcha!  Yes I agree that would be helpful to float your frequently read threads to the top.  I think you can bookmark a thread over there, but I have not messed with it at all so I don't know how it works.

Introducing The World's First Bee Influencer

I'm going to wait until the last minute to prepare for Halloween.

The last few years have been disappointing so I have no idea if kids are going to show up or not.

I haven't replaced any of the holiday decorations we lost after the fire and I probably won't.

Re: The Bee Hive -- October 2021 Edition

I'm not doing Halloween this year.  No giving out candy.  I specifically didn't put out my usual Halloween decor (metal pumpkins and the pumpkin door decoration).

I did add a small pumpkin to each of the purple planters that flank my stairs.  They are overflowing with flowers from this summer, still.

My husband was talked into working a shutdown/turnaround this month and his hours are long.  I don't want to hand out candy myself.  So I'm planning on leaving right around dinner time and returning later at night.  It's a cop-out.

My youngest grandson is having a Halloween party at his school on that Saturday and I'm going to help out with that.  He has a track meet earlier in the day, so it'll be a 'two-fer'.  I think it's the last one.

This past weekend they had a craft show on the main street of town.  Ran for about 8 blocks.  It was nice, but didn't see anything that jumped out at me.

Hoped our oldest son would have come this weekend since the kids had off today, but they closed up their place in the Poconos.  It gets cold there quickly, temps dip early.

This coming weekend, they're having a show at the Music Pier called *THE BEEHIVE*.  It's a musical, 60's songs.

Hope all are well, I guess everyone is posting on the other board(s).

I'll be here....talking to myself.Woman LOL

I used to look forward to Halloween.  What happened?

There was a folk festival here but they wanted either proof of vaccination or you had to submit to a test to get in.

It was an outdoor festival.

Anyway, I'm still planning to post here until I can't anymore.  So either the forums disappear or I do. Woman LOL

Re: The Bee Hive -- October 2021 Edition

I'm still here.  It was just an awful and hectic day yesterday.

This place is much quieter now, so I may not be in as often as I used to be though.

I remember those bee hive hairdos well.  My hair was always struggling to hold any kind of style.  I was happy when the 60's emerged with long straight hair.  My father, on the other hand, was not happy.  (And now I sound just like him: "Why doesn't she get that hair out of her eyes?!")

Awful and hectic?  That doesn't sound good.

Hope today's better. Heart

@just bee

It wasn't.

Today is marginally better.  At least it's sunny and dry.

Until this afternoon, when it will get hot and humid again.😒
