@viva923 Good for you that you got some rain! We are in a drought situation. I think my dad got some and even my son on Long Island. We need it! And of course, I have clothes on the line and more in the washer!

We got rain too. One inch at my place, and they're calling for good rain chances almost every day next week. We need it.
Unfortunately it looks like most of the rain will be in the western part of the state. The eastern part is where the crops are grown, although most should be harvested by now. And it's also where the ducks winter, in the rice fields. We are the duck capital of the world and with this drought that isn't good news for the economy there since the ducks won't come if the fields aren't flooded. No ducks, no hunters to spend their money.

@Lucky Charm wrote:@geezerette We have one or two squirrells in this entire town. And one of them found my pumpkins. Actually it only attacked on small yellow striped pumpkin I had on the ground.
My front steps are lined with green, orange speckled and striped pumpkins all mostly those flat pumpkins.
A friend asked me if she could have them before I toss them as her friend has 2 pet pigs and they love pumpkins.
We have squirrels galore around here this year. I guess maybe because it's been a good year for acorns. And they seem to be fearless. I've had to stop for several that just get in the middle of a road and act like they haven't got a care in the world.🤷♀️

Boy, I'll bet you're happy to get your dryer fixed! It's always a feeling of relief when something broken gets brought back to life. Especially if it gets caught before it's a big bill!
I know I sure was relieved to get my old car back today. Although I had a moment of panic when I had to stop at the place that it quit on me last week and I noticed the trip odometer read "66.6"! Yikes! Not a good sign.👿😂
