maybe I am wonky today LOL o kno@ws. no problem getting into site today

@viva923

That's exactly how my dream was.  And part of the reason I felt it was reassuring.

But I sure didn't like it when I woke up and he wasn't here. 💔

It does give one pause...😇🤨

@geezerette @viva923

I also had a very vivid dream  that i swear it felt so real  also after my husband died...talking to him,etc  and i woke  and was looking for him  and  that he had left me again😥😪

I also later understood that he would always be  near in spirit with me.

Re: The Bee Hive -- May 2025 Edition

I went to talk to neighbor Saturday  and picked up his cat name Bill...Bill loves to be held  but this time he wanted out of my arms  and i got clawed in my right arm a few places  it drew spots of blood....

Then neighbor told me that Bill was grieving over the death of his brother...and didn't want anyone touching him!

Then he told me this story  and well

ok...i'm having a rough time grieving  over Bill's brother   that had got mauled,bitten,etc by a coyote  but made it back to the shed.

Neighbor  said he was gone but had left shed door raised enough for Bill  and his brother  to go in/out....when neighbor came home  Bill led him into the shed where his brother was dying  and  then died!Smiley Sad

Bill is not hiself right now.

So yes cats do grieve.

Re: The Bee Hive -- May 2025 Edition

well i had a surprise. that new dental practice i went to in april getting a bill for 128.20.

i DID SEE. dentist covered under my delta plan BUT the dentist who owns the practice adds his fee in so i have to pay the 128.20.

have to file a grevience with delta dental that to me it was illegal to file a claim for a dentist i DID NOT SEE during my visit. i ONLY saw the delta dentist  plus the dental hygenist. but the bill coming into delta says I SAW THE 2 DENTIST when I DID NOT. one dentist is covered by delta but the owner is NOT IN THE DELTA DENTAL INSURANCE program. So i have to pay the higher out of network fee.

just angers me how they try to cover up illegal billing.

Yes, they do.

We left Chicago for Arizona when I was ten.  We took our Siamese, our black cat and our raccoon with us.

Once we got to Arizona we acquired more pets.  One cat was my mother's favorite.  The Liz Taylor of the cat world.  She was "Becky."

On my mother's birthday, Becky was found in the snow, in the driveway, dead.  A neighbor had pulled into our driveway and he ran over her.

We buried her.  And every time we checked her grave, we would see cat paw prints in the snow.

We discovered they belonged to the quiet black cat we'd brought from Chicago.  Soon after Becky's death, our black cat left home.  Every now and then we'd catch a glimpse of him in the neighborhood.  And then he disappeared.

We'd never realized he was so fond of our Becky.

Sorry to hear about Bill's brother.  Godspeed. Heart

Re: The Bee Hive -- May 2025 Edition

Maybe I should skip the Cabernet with my lunch salad.

I was enjoying my wine and checking my email.  Got a message from APNA (American Psychiatric Nurses Association) with information about their annual conference.

Normally, this is where I hit "delete."

I do attend the occasional New Mexico conference, but I've never traveled to the "big" one.

Well, this "big" one is in October.  I usually take time off in October.

Where is it, you ask?

Nawlins!

Canal Street - New Orleans, Louisiana - New Orleans & Company

Of course I've never been there but, after a glass of wine and a hearty salad, the idea didn't seem so preposterous.

Casually mentioned it to BH and he was all over the idea, researching the hotel choices.  He practically has my bags packed.

Not so fast, Mister.  I need to think about this.

@just bee NOLA sounds awesome.  You both need a getaway.  A break. I'd go for a high end hotel....just because!

Have never been, but husband has for work meetings/seminars.  The farthest I go south now is Wrightsville Beach NC to see family.

Re: The Bee Hive -- May 2025 Edition

Another cool day here.  We had to get away from jack-hammering (our sidewalk!) and went for a bike ride.  About 4 miles.  Later in the afternoon I took a 3 mile walk at my own pace.

The crowds hit on Friday.  Driving to see my dad would've been easier by bike or on foot for that matter.  I did a load of whites and colors for him yesterday.  Took another plant for inside his apartment.  And prunes, don't ask...lol.Woman LOL

Re: The Bee Hive -- May 2025 Editi

@cowboy sam

Yes, cats do grieve. My last Siamese,that I lost last December, we had to get because the cat we had was grieving the loss of our Snowshoe cat. He cried inconsolably for weeks and we finally got him a kitten. He was happy then and my Siamese was a godsend as he was a buddy to my husband doing cancer treatment and a loving companion to me after my husband passed. He was a blessing to all of us.

@just bee

I will chime in and say got to NOLA! Everyone should go once and enjoy the French Quarter, the food, and the music. The WWII museum is fantastic if you enjoy history. Go for it!

He has not yet expressed any interest in going.  I assume he wants me to go solo.

He had a work trip decades ago and I came along because it was Boston.  I had to see Boston.

Love Boston. Heart
