Hey, all you HEPcats and HEPdogs!  We had discussed making the Healthy Eating thread a monthly jam session, so I just went ahead and did a little improvisation.

This is an invite to our crazy crib where you can come and break it down! I say we go 18 karat on this and really swing.  If healthy eating’s not your bag, no problem.  But if it is, I dig.

It’s cool, I’m booted, let’s jump!

I wasn't enjoying April and I'm surprised this past week didn't kill me.  I was so looking forward to May, but April wiped me out and I was tired last night and this morning and I didn't realize it was over.

May here is starting off warm.  Too warm.  It's supposed to be 86 degrees today.

BH knew I needed to start a new Hive so he took WGD out -- solo.  He opened the garage door and the stench of smoke is thick.  Can't see the Sandias and can't even see the bosque.

It's like being in the bowels of Hell.

Why does this state schedule controlled burns during our windy season?

Year after year they become out-of-control burns.

Our state psychiatric hospital is in the path of the fire and staff is scrambling to relocate patients.  Where?  NM hospitals are full.

So... maybe you have a point about May.

And we're having just the opposite problem here--too much rain.  

The farmers haven't had enough dry days in a row to get into their fields to start planting.  One guy said that they have about another month and if they can't get planted, there will be no crop at all.  Even then the yield will be less.

I really wish I could send you some of our rain.  I'm ready for a dry summer.

Too much rain in the east, drought in the west.  Get ready for even higher food prices.
