Last night was...

Indescribable.

Sometimes we just sit and look at each other in disbelief.

But I had something to look forward to.

It's in the microwave warming up: Linguine and clams.

I already have the wine open.

I learned a lot during this pandemic.  Like, stock linguine before it disappears from store shelves.

 As God is my witness, I'll never be without linguine again!

I had 36 bottles of wine *stocked* away in a guest room this time last year.

I was {{afraid}} liquor stores would be closed because of the pandemic.  Woman Embarassed

I was only buying a bottle or two at a time, so it was a process...

I love my pasta, but I loooove my wine, baby!

@Lucky Charm

I can attribute my wine consumption to the lockdown.

My beverage of choice was Amstel Light.

Our governor shut down Total Wine.  Which made no sense.  What's the difference between that box store and the other box stores that remained open?

My access to Amstel Light was cut off.  Total Wine is the only place locally that stocks it.

I was drinking a variety of beers from the grocery store for months.  This was just not working for me.

On August 1, 2020 I stopped drinking beer.  And I switched to wine exclusively.  Red.  Italian and Sicilian.

I just counted.  I have 80 pounds of pasta in the pantry.

The Great Depression changed our parents.  This pandemic changed us.

@just bee - Wow, that is a ot of pasta, You should be set for a while!

I have a "good news/bad news" thing going on.

The good news is that last night I think I finally found out what has been bothering my mouth so much the last several weeks.  A big bump popped out on my gum--abscess.  Up until then I really had no idea what was happening because so many things were going on in various spots.

The bad news is that my dental appointment isn't until Monday.  And I'm just hoping they can save the tooth.  I'm not up to dealing with an implant--physically or financially.

In the meantime I ran out and got some more soft food.  No more nuts for a while!

@geezerette - I am sorry to hear about the abscess. I wouldn't think it would be good to let that go until Monday without at least some antibiotics.Are they giving you those at least?

@just bee - You ever gonna finish unpacking the rest of your boxes?

I think that would drive me nuts.

Eventually.  BH unpacked the CD collection and painted the wood CD holder to match the bookcase.  I spent yesterday organizing them and discovered some empty cases.

It might be why I'm slow to unpack.  When I open those boxes I'll see what I kept, remember what I didn't keep and dredge up all the memories of the post-fire sorting.

There are a couple items I haven't been able to find.  If they aren't in those last few boxes that means they're gone.

Hello everybody, I am up to my usual trimming of the bushes out front. Trimmed them up real good but I am so hot and sweaty it's shower time.
I was supposed to be at my mothers house watering.
The early afternoon was cool so I decided to do bushes and by the time I was done the sun was going to do me in.
I will hit moms house on Sunday.

Your right @justbee, nobody's winning right now!
I am seeing things going on right now that are so off the wall 😳

@geezerette  So funny, yes the prize of all that chopped fruit was the cherry.

And really, seems it was only half a cherry.

And it didn't even really look like a cherry.

Or taste like a cherry.

But I was bummed if I didn't get it.

@Lucky Charm

Exactly! 😂

@geezerette

@Lucky Charm

And let me tell you that they are really stingy with those cherries.  You get one or two in a can and they put them at the top so when you open the can you think that it's chock-full of them.

@just bee

No kidding!

And I always suspected that they aren't real cherries anyway.
