Here's a honey bee on top of my garlic scapes.  There nearly ready to turn to flowers.

Wow!  That's so cool! Heart

And I have to admit that I don't think I've ever actually had garlic scapes.

Notes of onion and scallion, and a texture similar to asparagus...

This would be right up my alley. Woman LOL

@cheriere

I'm also enjoying your box turtle photos.

These guys just seem to appear, don't they?

Every time one shows up at the house I name it "Bob."

Lol, they do just seem to show up!😃❤️

Thank you for looking at my turtle pics.  He really caught me off guard this morning too.  I'm just glad my dog, Ruby wasn't out with me.  She's tiny, but mighty and won't leave the poor things alone.  She thinks if she barks at them long enough, they'll emerge from their shell.😂

You always have the prettiest pics. ❤️

I can't get over how much birds, bees, and butterflies feed off of them.  It's crazy!  They must like the taste of them too because they're always eating them.

I like them too.  They're the perfect combination of a sweet red onion with a hint of garlic.  I wish I could send you some.  We have plenty.😃❤️

Re: The Bee Hive -- June 2024 Edition

Why is it that just about the time I am able to quit buying, something breaks and I have to buy a replacement?

This time it's my sonic toothbrush.  My newer toothbrush, too.  Probably not so new, but newer than the older one that still seems to working fine.

Phooey.  Maybe I can find a suitable replacement that's not so fancy (meaning cheaper) this time.  I only use one mode anyway.

@geezerette

Same thing happened to me with my WaterPik!  The best head just stopped working!  Ugh!

I could do with a new sonic toothbrush too.  I'm on my very last brush head.  I'm thinking about getting one from the Q that comes with all the heads for three years.  I've really got my money's worth from my old one.😃❤️

You're doing a very good thing by planting them.

@just bee

Thanks.😃❤️

I try to plant as much as I can every year.  My dad used to keep bees.  In fact, he still had two hives left, but they died out this past winter.  He wants to get some more and I hope he will.

Growing up, we always kept a lot of bees.  He even owned the only Bee Supply store in our area.  People came from all over to buy different things, bee boxes, wax, smokers, suits, gloves, jars, just everything lol.  I can remember learning to put the frames with wax together in the summertime.  I think we still have an extraction machine and some other supplies left at their old home.  I'd give anything to relive those days again, with my parents young.❤️❤️❤️
