@geezerette

There are some Russian Blue kittens online that look a little like this one.  Does he respond to Yuri?

@geezerette

Cute kitten!  I love kittens.Heart

I've read and re-read posts and I still didn't pick up what you named him.

@just bee  and et al.  I'm meeting with a friend on Friday for lunch.  Guess what she's getting ready to do?  Start a beehive.   !!

I've got a million questions to ask.  I do know she already has the parts (?) I guess for building a beehive.  She said something about *thickness*, not sure what that's about.  She is dealing with a beekeeper.

I do love bees and if it weren't for the honey I do consume, I could be considered totally vegan.  But I use raw honey in my coffee in the a.m.  Just can't do without something to sweeten it.  I feel guilty!  I've tried everything.

I do appreciate the hard work of the bees, so that I may enjoy the food I consume!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.  I worked my ask off cleaning closets and making everything perfect.  LOL.

August is a good time for surgery because there's nothing happening in August.  No holidays, no changes of season, no playoff games -- wait, I think Little League World Series might be happening -- but nothing major to distract staff.  And you won't be missing any big events or celebrations.

These are the "dog days of summer."  Well, July 3rd through August 11th, anyway.  We have Independence Day, of course, but that's early on.  Dog days until things start to get interesting again around Labor Day.

Think of this as a surgical vacation and an excuse to take it easy for a bit.  No superwoman shenanigans.  Just relaxation and fun stuff.

Re: The Bee Hive -- June 2021 Edition

Home from a 3-hour class (got another 3 hours next week) and now it's wine time.

I'm having that Bulgarian wine that was recommended.  It's fine, but I have to say my loyalty is to the Italian and Sicilian wines.  They just seem familiar to me.

Boy, I dreaded the thought of that class.  Do you make commitments and then, when it's time to do whatever you agreed to do, do you just wish a grand piano would fall on your head so you could get out of it?

Of course, you fret and then you go and it turns out all right so all the fretting was nonsense.  But you continue the fret anyway.

It's good for me to get out to mix and mingle.  Even if it's just a trip to the grocery store.  But I will avoid it as long as I can.

People think that staying home has to be boring.  It's not that boring.  There's plenty to do here.

In fact, there's too much to do here! Woman LOL

Re: The Bee Hive -- June 2021 Edition

We bought the Bosch but we didn't get the 800 series. Everything is on wait list forever on that one.
@ geezerette very cute kitten. I hope he lives a long happy life. ❤
We really miss Rosey and Eros. When we walk Brisk there is a big hole there and it seems odd. No he has not forgot her. He continues to bark every evening. He calms down after we go downstairs to talk to him or bring a pillow down to sleep by his side. Still no plans to replace her or Eros. Dogs are a bit smarter then alot of people think.
We are burning to a crisp here now. It is hot!! Typical for this time of year.
We are seeing a few masks here but not many. I always have one in my purse in case a store has mandatory masks.
I am in the back yard as usual alot lately....
Take care all.....
Brisk checking in and out....

Hi everyone!

Just checking in here quick, it's been super busy the last couple of weeks and I just haven't had a lot of time to read and post.

Kiddos are done with school as of Friday, hubby will be done in one more week. As much as I love having time to myself it is nice having hubby home to help out with things around the house, like the never ending vacuuming and laundry.

We did get a camper and now have to clean it, stock it, and figure out how to use it. We have never had one before. Then we need to decide where we want to go and make reservations. We found a kennel to board 3 out of the 4 dogs and will take the smallest one with us. Now to get them all up to date on their shots.

I have lots to do this summer, lots of appointments to make, get the kids caught up on physicals, dentists etc. plus I have some to make for myself. And I'm still working 3-4 days a week.

We have home projects that I want to work on while the weather is nice too. I need to start making a list and just start checking off things one at a time. I'm getting overwhelmed just thinking about it all.

I don't know how much decluttering and cleaning I will get done other than routine stuff, but that's okay, that can wait til the weather is bad again. It won't be long before I'm cooped back up in the house.

So it will be super busy here if you don't see me posting much, that's probably why.

@rnmom

Whew!  It was a workout just reading your post, let alone doing all that!😆

You have quite a busy summer ahead of you.  Nice to be able to enjoy it this year and hopefully do some more things you couldn't last year.

We'll miss you but are glad you and the family will be out going and doing!  Stop in and give us an update on your adventures when you can--take care.  ❤️

@geezerette - Thanks! Yes, it is going to be busy for sure, just trying to do something each day. I will check in from time to time to let you all know how it's going!
