I would definitely agree with some of those.

I always thought the black and white tuxedos were the Cary Grants of the cat world.   No matter what they were doing they always looked sophisticated and debonair.😆

There are some Russian Blue kittens online that look a little like this one.  Does he respond to Yuri?

Can you tell I just watched Dr. Zhivago again?

@just bee

Oooh!  I like "Yuri"!

Funny you should mention Russian Blues.  When I first saw him in his cage at the shelter, that's what I thought he looked like.  Apparently it was just the dimmer lighting because he's definitely gray.  And since I've been able to check him out completely, he's not solid gray like I first thought either.  He's got subtle stripes, so he'll be a gray tabby with white accents.

He also has a touch of rickets like I thought.  But the vet doesn't think it will be a problem and it certainly hasn't slowed him down.  He's getting more confident and is quickly becoming quite the little devil.😈

I remember my mother feeding new puppies goat milk.  I wonder if that would help or just give him the runs.  It's not supposed to, but you never know.

Home from a 3-hour class (got another 3 hours next week) and now it's wine time.

I'm having that Bulgarian wine that was recommended.  It's fine, but I have to say my loyalty is to the Italian and Sicilian wines.  They just seem familiar to me.

Boy, I dreaded the thought of that class.  Do you make commitments and then, when it's time to do whatever you agreed to do, do you just wish a grand piano would fall on your head so you could get out of it?

Of course, you fret and then you go and it turns out all right so all the fretting was nonsense.  But you continue the fret anyway.

It's good for me to get out to mix and mingle.  Even if it's just a trip to the grocery store.  But I will avoid it as long as I can.

People think that staying home has to be boring.  It's not that boring.  There's plenty to do here.

In fact, there's too much to do here! Woman LOL

@just bee

Only every single thing I commit to.  Even things I originally think would be fun.

I could have written the rest of your post.  I think I've always had agoraphobia.  And as I get older and am alone more, I'm sure it's getting worse.

I've always preferred staying home, no matter where it was or what type of house we had. I'd rather not talk to another human being at all if I could get away with it.  Just the other day I was fantasizing how wonderful it would be if everything just kept working perfectly I would never have to deal with another repairman ever again.  That sounds like heaven!

I do see the need to get out among people, though.  I have lost the ability to carry on a conversation.  I often can't recall the words I want to say and I'm sure people notice.  Or maybe it's just the beginning of Alzheimer's.

@ geezerette very cute kitten. I hope he lives a long happy life. ❤
We really miss Rosey and Eros. When we walk Brisk there is a big hole there and it seems odd. No he has not forgot her. He continues to bark every evening. He calms down after we go downstairs to talk to him or bring a pillow down to sleep by his side. Still no plans to replace her or Eros. Dogs are a bit smarter then alot of people think.
We are burning to a crisp here now. It is hot!! Typical for this time of year.
We are seeing a few masks here but not many. I always have one in my purse in case a store has mandatory masks.
I am in the back yard as usual alot lately....
Take care all.....
Brisk checking in and out....

@Brisky

Thanks.

As much as we joke and hint, don't rush into getting another dog (or cat)--especially thinking Brisk needs a companion.  Much of the reason I got little Yuri was because I thought his Big Brother Kitty was missing another cat.  Well, Big Brother Kitty isn't much interested in him.  Oh, I know it will take time for them to get to know each other.  But he totally upended my small household and he takes a lot of my time and what effort I have now.  That's not earth shattering, and probably is a good thing, but as cute as he is I'm not sure I'd do it again.  Big Brother Kitty was doing just fine as the only boy in the house.  In fact, I think he liked the extra attention.

So even though it's sad, you're wise to take your time before--or even if--you decide to add to your family.

@just bee

The theory is they don't want too much nutrition flooding their systems immediately.  My foster friend gets many puppies with awful ricket conditions.  She has a fit when she has to limit their food intake because they're usually starving.  It's hard to watch, but I've seen with better limited nutrition along with more exercise and just being in the sunlight how quickly her puppies start to heal.

Little Yuri's condition is just a mild one.  I had to point it out to the vet because he didn't even notice it.  Maybe because Little Yuri was squirming around so much!😆

I'm not a real fan of milk for cats.  I've never had one that didn't get the runs.  Come to think of it, even nursing kittens have soft poop.  I don't relish the thought of trying to clean that out of the litter box.🥴

@geezerette

I think I've had periods of agoraphobia.  I think there are times when I just need a vacation from the world so I stay close to home.

It's why I'm trying to put off retirement.  If I didn't have to leave the house to go to work I probably wouldn't.

Have no problem taking the dog out, but when he's gone...

Maybe I need a hobby.
