@viva923

It sounds like you don't have long to wait now until you can go home.

A little more patience and you'll find out what the treatment is going to be.

Hang in there!❤️

Re: The Bee Hive -- July 2024 Edition

hey all

not much today

told by head RN on rounds today

pick line will be installed-head RN said what is hold up on getting me out of here- she said my case is turning so slowly-

well drs have been in-to get out of this place i have to have an amputation-right now it will be up to first knuckle- but infectious disease dr said the whole toe looks infected-does not look good-she said it was the wire or rods the metal that was inplanted in 1st surgery most likely caused the infection. so now we wait for. infectious disease dr to get in touch with dr. kristen to tell her ok to amputation just to get out of this place. i told her i will not be an invalid i refuse to be that-

now we wait to see who gets back to us first-this is all hinging on what dr kirsten says

Oh, boy.  Your head must be spinning.

I wish all the providers could communicate with each other and make a decision that is best for you.

I hope they do the right thing. Heart

Oh no!  It was looking so promising earlier.☹️

You have to make the best decision for yourself, but don't let any of them--doctors included--rush you into something you don't feel comfortable with.  You and DH talk it over and ask all the questions you have.

I'm hoping and praying for the best for you.  The most important thing is your overall health, but no matter what happens, knowing your spirit and determination you won't ever be an invalid!

Re: The Bee Hive -- July 2024 Edition

On a lighter note, and something that falls into my "just when I was losing faith in people" category...

This morning I was driving in the rain--not quite pouring, but raining heavily--when I rounded a corner and saw a sheriff's car parked on the side of the road.  I slowed down and saw a deputy walking in the middle of the road.  Oh no, I thought, an accident in the rain right at the top of a hill where a side road meets it.  So I slow even further.

When I approach the deputy, I see he's walking across the road with something in his hands, in the rain.  Huh??  I get closer and see it's a turtle!  He carries the turtle off the road and puts it down in the tall grass, turns around and sees me, grins sheepishly and gives a little wave.  Of course by now I'm grinning myself, wave back, and give him a "thumbs up".👍

And continue on my way.  Within the speed limit, of course.☺️
