I went back to short in nursing school because we had the most draconian hair policies and no way could I put it up in a bun. I had to cut it super short, above the collar. More short hair trauma. 😭 I even LOOK better with longer hair.

No reason you should feel compelled to do that, either.  It works both ways.

My sister has been coloring her hair for so long I can't even remember what she looked like with her natural color.🤷‍♀️

I don't know why it's taking so long to go gray.  I have gray, silver and white strands but that's it.

I've had very long and very short hair over the years.  I hid behind my hair when it was long.  I'm actually liking it in a clip.  It was always so thick that I couldn't really wear it up.  Now that it's thinning so quickly (thanks, chemo!), I can get it all collected in one cheap plastic clip.

The nursing school requirements were silly.  We were actually inspected before we could hit the floor during clinicals.

Have the instructors ever seen an actual healthcare worker?  I think I'm one of the few at work who has natural hair and lashes, no facial piercings and no visible tattoos.

I'm so... plain.

Like I said previously, I'm old.  I look old, heck, I feel old.  My hair is partially gray and I have wrinkles.

As long as I am clean and neat--which is getting to be harder to accomplish--that's all I care about at this point.

I've never been "fashionable", I sure am not about to try and start now.  Besides when I was young and tried, I looked ridiculous.

I finally am to the point in my life that I can accept who I am and what I look like.

@geezerette

I wish it didn't take so long.  Wouldn't it be great if it happened prior to puberty?

@just bee

I think that constantly.

But I probably would have ended up in jail.  Or dead broke.

I wouldn't be sitting here, that's for sure.

Re: The Bee Hive -- July 2023 Edition

I heard this week that our national IQ has dropped to under 100.

Got me thinking about individual states.  Guess which state, in 2023, comes in at number 50 with a score of 95?

Re: The Bee Hive -- July 2023 Edition

Brisk in the hive but I tried to post earlier and some how lost it!
Darn it all.🤣
No fear though...it was as boring as are most of my posts and probably unreadable. 🤣 Sorry laughing at myself again for real!

Ok I will settle down... Weeded flowerbeds today and I am trashed.
Looks like rain but probably won't happen.

I think your IQ level in your state has got to be a bit higher then you think 🤔 That just sounds to low for any State actually.
Could be wrong but where did you here this?

Your there and I think your enough to pull the average up.😎

Anyway up to shower and not much going on over here...
Marigold is getting spayed on the 2nd of August.

Take care everybody and try hard to hang loose....

Looks like rain here, too, but I doubt we'll get any.

Regarding IQ, there's quite a bit of information online but I settled on world population review dot com for an updated list.

Thank you for the vote of confidence, but I don't think I can pull it up.  The state has too much working against it.  There's no incentive for improvement.

Keep us updated on your girl.  Hope she has a quick recovery. Heart
