So far my 2024 isn't going any better than 2023.

As of this week my chiropractor is joining a new practice at a new location.  He informed me of this last month at my last visit, when I made my usual appointment for this month.  This week, at 9am.

I just received an email about the move with his new hours, starting at 11am!

Great.  I suppose I'll be on the phone for the next two days trying to get this straightened out.😡

Same Auld Lang Syne, eh?

BH and I are barely talking today because he wants me to call my doctors about something.

I don't feel like playing phone tag all day tomorrow.  I have my MRI appointment and appointments with my doctors a week later.  If they don't have my MRI results by then, they can figure it out.

They need to come up with a new word for healthcare.  Care has little to do with it.

@just bee

Or health.

I can fully commiserate.  BH is worried about you, but you're just tired of it all, as am I.  It's why I'm reluctant to complain to people in real life--they'll try to reason with me.  I don't feel like being reasonable.

This guy of mine needs to figure out whether he wants continue working or not.  Either come in and do the job consistently or retire completely.  Quit jerking the patients around with one thing one month and another the following month.

And my PCP has started to get goofy too.

"Healthcare" is just the tip of my complaint iceberg.  I'll forego the rest since it's the start of a new year and I don't want to be a grouch right off the bat.

I'm just sick of the whole thing.  When you put that bubble wrap on me make sure it covers my head. 🫠

Uh... good point.

Yesterday I collected all the medications they prescribed and put them, mostly unused, in a box in the closet.

I'm in limbo until I get MRI results.

You can be grouchy all you want.  I'm grouchy.  I think we're all a little grouchy.

I'm in the midst of weaning myself off some stuff myself. Supplements that have gotten too expensive to continue, and this med from my doctor.  Which is think is having the opposite effect than intended.

Well, h_ll, I'm doomed.

I just read on CC that it's unlucky to do laundry today.

Re: The Bee Hive -- January 2024 Edition

👋

I think I feel better coming here versus staying away. 🥺

Tired this morning and we all slept late, even goober butt. (That would be the 🐈 ). 😁

Stepped on the scale this morning, and that’s enough to put me in a bad mood, but I am not going to let it. All the junk is out of the house. I should be able to drop some water weight this week just by cleaning up my food.

Cool today but the sun is out for the first time in over a week.

I really need to clean, but I’m not feeling up to jumping all in today. Baby steps. 🥴 At least the laundry is minimal.

[ Edited ]

I remember my mom saying that all the Christmas decorations need to be down and the house clean by New Year’s. There was never any mention of laundry. She didn’t seriously believe it but I think she mainly just wanted to start the year with a clean house.

I converted to Catholicism as an adult and I’ve enjoyed the traditional 12 days of Christmas. Even after my meltdown, I still have the tree up in the living room and it will stay there for awhile.

@geezerette

I'm dealing with enough freakish side effects from the cancer treatment.  I don't want to have to deal with side effects from medications, too.

I'm just taking the vitamins and supplements I was on before the treatment.

I'll tweak my diet a bit and reduce the sugar.  Gatorade is already out of the house.  That was a brief habit.

The problem with sugar is that the more you consume, the more your brain says your body wants.

Radiation really messed up my diet.  I'm going back to what I was eating before all this nonsense.

I do feel better now that I'm eating apples again.  But I'm starting to think I might be lactose intolerant.  I hope I'm wrong about that because it's going to put a real damper on my year.
