Our friend's house blew away in a tornado.  That sealed the deal for us. Woman LOL

Black ice and freezing fog are common here.

We get freezing fog here.  I have many memories of fog in California and Oregon.

We were stranded in a Grants Pass diner, waiting for it to lift. Woman LOL

Ooh.  And driving through tule fog on Hwy 5.

Better than being stranded on the 5 outside the Siskiyou Summit because they shut it down due to snow and the steep grade. Lots of truckers.

If he lives that close to the state line, he'd better plan on more than 6"!  Last I heard that was the minimum they were expecting up there.  Although different spots can have a lot different accumulations.

Sometimes I think we get more snow than further north because we get the moisture up from the gulf and farther north it's drier.

@cowboy sam   He should be planning on freezing rain then snow on top of that! Gets pretty dicey down that direction!

@bikerbabe  I was comimg back from a rescue mission to Casper, Wy and got into a freak blizzard. (this was in April) I has 2 rescue Chessies in a Ford Escape and just made it off I80 and got the last motel room in Ogallala, Nebraska. Two unknown dogs in a hotel room....that was interesting! Had to post a $200 damage deposit to get them to let us stay! Turned out fine ...dogs were perfect gentlemen and other guests were very friendly towards them.

Left early next morning...with my damage deposit. Heading back that was the first time I saw beet juice used on the roads to reduce the sliding around. The roads were a nice pink color!

We may complain about the weather, but it sure does build character.

Well, maybe except for that whole Donner Party incident...

Re: The Bee Hive -- February 2025 Edition

Ventured out today to run some errands and noticed a heckuva lot of new construction.

And new shops and restaurants popping up.  There's a new Ulta -- which makes me wonder if the other location is closing its doors.

Our little neighborhood is growing.

Oh, and I did finally wash my car.  It was filthy. Woman Embarassed
