It's 28 degrees here this morning but it should warm up into the 50s later today.  That pattern should last throughout the week.

That's about what it's doing here today too.  And very dry.  A decent week, maybe a little rain, but cold nights with days in the 40s, 50s, and then 60s next week.

Until they change the forecast, that is.

There's really no excuse not to drive over to the car wash place this week.  Well, there is one.  I completed an online quiz last week and discovered my spirit animal.

Re: The Bee Hive -- December 2024 Edition

Well, I bit on a Cyber Monday sale this morning.  Which I can't remember ever doing before.

The Black Friday sale almost had me at 60% off, but free shipping didn't kick in until $99.  I don't absolutely need what I was thinking about and had no intention of spending $99 or paying shipping.  So I thought that was it.

This morning's email says 60% and free shipping at $50.  Well, that I would hit anyway.  Decisions, decisions.🤔

As usual I justified the purchases.  A couple of pairs of pants because at least one "good" pair has to be delegated to around the house, and my "going to the vet" pants are all just too disgusting to wear there anymore.  Tees because for the sale price I can always use more white tee shirts.  I would have liked black too, but my size was sold out.

That's my big splurge for this year.  But what really struck me looking at the receipt was the sale price on the pants (which has rarely been that low lately) was only about $5 less than the regular price they were when I started buying them years ago.  Back when they were a lot heavier, too.  And I thought I got a bargain today. 🫤

Yes, and they're doing a fine job of making some of us look like slackers.  My holiday philosophy is to take the entire season off.

All I want to do is look at other people's decorations.

You're not a slacker.  You're a ...

I, on the other hand, fully admit to slacking. 🥱

And I'm off to run errands and spend more money.😕

And that's what I'm trying to avoid.  I keep telling myself that I don't need it this year and that it can wait 'til next year.  So far, that's working.

I already completed my big project of the day.  I put my black teas on the top shelf of the kitchen pantry, and put the green teas in the door shelf.

Whew.

That's sort of what I'm planning on for next year.  I had decided to start a little early.

Although I bought some philosophy that I'm happy with (surprisingly).

I had noticed that my clothes were smelling a little 'stale'.  Not smelly, but not normal.  Now I don't mind looking old, or acting old, but I don't want to smell 'old'.  Using the body wash and lotion again and my clothes are nice and fresh again. I don't think the new formulation of the body wash smells as nice as the old one (I do like the new lotion), but between it and the lotion my skin feels better too.  So that's a win.  Not sure if I'll continue with them if I have to buy at full price.
