Must be an east coast thing?

Nah, it's on the west coast, too, I'm sure.

Waiting on so many packages now, so much for Prime membership, Amazon's taking as long as I see poster's complaining about Q. !!

Worried yesterday that my very first tablet (is that what it's called?) would be out in the rain. But, no, it's not even in the shipping mode.....yet.

@just beewrote:

New month! Last one of the year! Dress rehearsal for 2023!

Anyone have any plans for December?

@just bee

If the rest of the month continues with the same up-and-down weather we're having this first week, I'll be sitting around with my head in my hands for most of the month.☹️

How about you? Any special plans?

@Brisky

I heard a story on my local news this morning about an incident in your neck of the woods.

Fourteen dogs were rescued from a burning trailer. All survived, but some needed medical attention. One of the sheriffs that got them out was burned too. Bravo to them!👏

Sounds like a situation we'd have around here.🤬

Did laundry, vacuumed entire house, dusted downstairs and cleaned bathrooms.

Headed to beach after lunchtime phone call with husband and picked up shells to decorate picture frames. Finally got all the grandkids school pictures.

Headed out of state for a basketball game in the a.m. Luckily, not too early! Have a ton of errands to do while there. Rain in the forecast, but it will be mild temps. Today was beautiful.

Re: The Bee Hive -- December 2022 Edition

@geezeretteOur town is really family oriented and celebrates NYE with all kinds of activities for all ages.

There's a couple of bands playing on the Music Pier all night, different *acts* at several different venues around town (comediens, magician, ventriliquist, karaoke), the amusement park will be open for rides and at midnight they'll be fireworks on the beach.

You can pretty much walk to everything here where it's all going to be held. I'm probably closest to town out of everyone so everyone may park here and we'll walk.

They decorated the main street about two weeks ago and it looks so pretty--kinda old timey--like back in the 40s and 50s street decorations.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

This article is about New Year's Eve celebrations.

First Night is a North American artistic and cultural celebration on New Year's Eve, taking place from afternoon until midnight. Some cities have all their events during the celebration outside, but some cities have events that are hosted indoors by organizations in the city, especially clustered in the local historic downtown which are easily walkable to each other, such as churches and theaters.

The celebration is family-friendly and alcohol-free, serving as an alternative to conventional adult New Year's parties that are abundant with alcohol. Since it happens on New Year's Eve, First Night celebrations are actually held on the last night of the old year. First Night celebrates a community's local culture, often featuring music, dance, comedy, art, fireworks and, in some cities, ice sculptures and parades.
