Re: The Bee Hive -- August 2021 Edition

@geezerette

I just told BH that they would have to strap me to a chair and pull my eyelids open to get me to watch these horrible shows on TV.

Then I remembered A Clockwork Orange.

Strangely, it was on last night and I couldn't watch it.  Had to turn it off.

But I did manage to watch Se7en again without any issues.

@just bee

That's one of the (few) good aspects of being old, half senile, and mostly hard of hearing.  I either fall asleep shortly into a movie or show, don't comprehend it, or can't really hear/understand what they're saying.  So I can watch reruns all day long and they're like new to me.  I did manage to get all the way through A Few Good Men last weekend, though.  (I'm not a Cruise fan, but he did a good job in that one.  I still don't think Demi Moore was a good fit for her part though.)

I watch pretty much all the vet reality programs.  I must not be the only one because they have several new ones in the last couple of years.  And the good thing about watching those reruns is that I know which doggies and kitties aren't going to make it, so I can leave the room when the sad part comes on.

Not much of a life, but it's mine now.  And about all I want.  Better than watching the news.

Judging by the ratings, it looks like we're not the only ones not watching the news.

Re: The Bee Hive -- August 2021 Edition

Harney & Sons is having a sale but instead of ordering my usual teas, I ordered a few from New Mexico Tea Company.

BH wondered why I didn't just drive over to their store.  According to their site, they now sell teas in sachets.  However, sachets are made-to-order so I figured it would be easier to order them instead of showing up in the store and expecting them to be available.

I just wanted to sample a few things to see if there's something I want to keep drinking.

We shall see.

Re: The Bee Hive -- August 2021 Edition

It's August.

I figured it was time to sweep up all the June bugs.

I needed time to make sure they were really dead before I started sweeping.

Definitely dead.

Re: The Bee Hive -- August 2021 Edition

hello all

Just Bee, the only agency i am aware of here in my state is  child protection agency. that mother is loony tuner person. boyfriend came and picked up more of his stuff, the kids and girlfriend are gone, so it is quiet. there was more fireworks about 6pm tonight while dh and i were trying to eat dinner. i have no idea who she was screaming at but it was a man and woman just screaming and cussing at each other, i know it was NOT the boyfriend, it could have been a friend of his. that girlfriend is really off her rocker.

I feel bad for the kids because these are the ones that end up in the system and never get out.  The kids I saw admitted to the children's psychiatric hospital are now the adults I see admitted to the adult psychiatric hospital.

Ooh, this is going to be very interesting...

You'll be walking ten miles a day just to keep yourself from cleaning!
