Re: The Bee Hive -- August 2021 Edition

Rain and 66 degrees in Albuquerque. Heart

Took WGD out  for a walk in the rain and he was less enthusiastic than I was.

But I'm pretty sure it can be used to remove rust, nail polish and the finish off old furniture.

Hello All!

We had a very relaxing weekend, did what we wanted to and nothing more.

Weather was perfect, too.  Kinda chilly.  No a/c since Friday.  We leave our back door open and the wind that comes thru literally blows things over inside.

All of a sudden you hear a crash or a thump.Woman Surprised

(It was a pair of sunglasses that blew off a table and a package of incense fell on the floor.)

I'm glad it wasn't the guy who ate teriyaky bowls.

First job of the day is to spray the outside shower with Method and wipe down and then rinse with hose.

Have a load of sheets in the washer ready to hang.  So if you want me, I'll be out back!

As much as I complain about New Mexico, I have to say that this summer has been one of the most agreeable.

Sure, we had our 100+ degree days, but we didn't have long stretches of them and we did have periods of unusually cool temperatures.

If this is a fluke, I'll take it.  If this is something we'll see again, I won't plan to move.

It was a surprise to see him snap.  But snap he did.

I seem to attract crazy.

@viva923

And speaking of crazy....

No, not you, V. -- your neighbor.

It's encouraging that her boyfriend came over to apologize and give you a hint of what's to come.

Sounds like a personality disorder.  The problem -- other than it's a challenge to live near someone who has one -- is that there are kids involved.

This creates a real dilemma.  Do you get familiar with the kids and let them know that, if things get hairy at home, they can run to your place for help or do you avoid the whole situation to keep safe?

If you witness anything, is there an agency that you can report child abuse/neglect/endangerment anonymously?

Every holiday season, people wish for world peace.  I just wish for decent neighbors.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Good one. Heart

No, I head to the Hive for some semblance of normal.

I was frittering away online and discovered I missed a TV series from 2000 called Wonderland.

Depicting life in a mental institution from the points of view of both doctors and patients...

Why this sounds like something right up my alley.  And Peter Berg was involved so it was probably a halfway decent production.  But I'll never know because ABC dropped it after two episodes.

Hulu offered the dropped season in 2009.  Missed it again.

Have you seen the ____ that succeeds on television?  It's discouraging.  No wonder so many people are watching old reruns.

I just realized the only series I watch is ER.  Old reruns. Woman Embarassed
