Re: The Bee Hive -- April 2022 Edition

Did Robert Frost write 50 pages on one poem? I kind of doubt I could put up with that.🙂

Re: The Bee Hive -- April 2022 Edition

I started a poem that when on for 50 pages. Oh how love lost goes withers and rages.
Ones heart is broken for reasons
unknown..
Never to be healed down through the ages.
Bitterness and resentment is yielded unjust
Needlessly to wonder whom can we trust...

I guess, that is a quick poem not thought out but I gave it my best and surely they jest...

Omgosh you did not suggest our brisky working in a *fun* little tea shop! Just kidding....!! Question for ya just bee. Are corks recyclable. If they are I'm in HEAPS of trouble. Lol. I'm on my phone and can't do the @ thing. Nothing much going on here fir a Saturday nite. Dh is nodding off watching baseball.

@Lucky Charm

Sometimes I miss baseball.  I used to enjoy the sound.  It was the sound of the game -- the hum of the crowd -- that made me doze off.  People say the game puts them to sleep because it's so boring.

Not boring.  It's the sound of baseball.  Very relaxing.

How many corks do you have and are you feeling creative?

How to Recycle: Recycled Wine Cork

It depends on the cork.  And it gets complicated.  They say the synthetic ones can go into the recycling bin.  And then they say they can't.

Real ones can be turned over to specific groups that repurpose them.  They say you can toss them into your compost pile or use them in planters to improve drainage.  Read that orchids like ground up corks.  That's all I need.  To become obsessed with orchids...

Cork drop boxes.  Yeah, maybe in Santa Fe, but I wonder if I could find one in ABQ.

There are options.  None of them sound convenient.  I toss mine -- real and synthetic -- in the trash.  I also buy screw top wine so I don't have to feel guilty.  Well, I do -- I toss my wine bottles in the trash, too, but that's because ABQ still doesn't have a real recycling system for glass.  Probably explains why we have broken bottles all over the city's sidewalks...

I console myself by remembering that I never had children.  Once I'm dead, I'll no longer be contributing to the demise of the planet.  But I suspect the planet is doomed for reasons besides our waste products.

Speaking of getting lit...

Having a glass of wine and watching The English Patient.

Losing optimism...

Some things are.  Like death and taxes.

And acne.
