So for the first few weeks of this, I have been cooking.

Last week we started getting curb side pick up.

The food is just not the same(or even close) as setting in the restaurant.

I think it is the styrofoam boxes. Or maybe it is having to re-heat the food?

@granddi Agreed!  It's both the styrofoam (or round aluminum) containers and needing to reheat and place on my own dish...I don't present as nicely either.

ETA:  I'm trying to support those local restaurants that are open now for curbside pick up.  This past year we've gotten a lot of new really nice restarants in town and I worry that many might not reopen.

I've only gotten take out a few times and will do so on Mother's day ...I don't want to cook and again on my birthday the end of the month..

The worst part of this for me is not enjoying the experience of socializing with family & friends...I miss that so very much!

We have quite a few local restaurants close by. Close enough that the food is still hot enough when it gets home. We can also choose delivery.

Same for me.  Before this pandemic, I never reheated food that was takeout or delivery.  I like my food really hot, but there was never a need to reheat.
