i turn back the clocks the day before. i’m out all day, so when i get home in the evening, i simply go by the “new” time. it always works for me and my sleep isn’t affected at all.

Here on the east coast I love the longer days of daylight.Don’t like the shorter, darker, colder days!!

I live in AZ so no time change BUT grands live in CA and older son lives in NM and they change in opposite directions, so now NM is on our time and CA is an hour earlier. In Summer NM is an hr ahead and CA is on our time. So confusing!

Ok I gotta stick my nose in this one. Think about it...the concept of time is man made. There are 24 hours in every single earth day, no matter what. It naturally gets dark earlier in fall/winter due to the angle of the sun. We do not lose or gain an hour anywhere. We just get up later because that manmade clock said it was a certain time. The time change has nothing to do with it being darker earlier. For me personally I have never felt any different come the time change. But I do think that the concept is ridiculous and serves no purpose. Ok I’m gonna shut it now ⏰

Not a bit

Yup....woke up at 5:15, got up and then realized it was 4:15. Oh well - I'm still trying to figure out why a retired person is getting up that early in the first place. Makes no sense! I should have changed my clocks yesterday afternoon! LOL!

I just can't get over how many people are awakened by animals! Mine never have and I don't think I'd want a pet if it woke me up ---early!
The change in time is only a pain because of all the clocks you have to change. I leave my grandfather clock alone instead of doing DST.
I never *miss* the hour we lose, or enjoy the hour we gain. I just don't like it getting dark earlier. In the winter I sleep in late, late, LATE. Summer --I'm up and at 'em early.

@bmorechick Oh, I think you are correct 100%. It started during the war for some reason I forgot (so probably not very meaningful), but the clocks remain the same. Planets revolve in the same way. Who are we to “adjust” the way time has always been?

@Lucky Charm That’s why Lucky is part of your nic. Lucky you are since twice a year it takes me days to adjust to the dark/light change. My dogs? Yes, up too early & out of sorts all day. Would I trade them in for waking me up? H*LL NO!

It worked out well for me. I woke up at 5:30. I had time to walk and feed the dog. AND then got to watch Broadway Melody of 1936. It started at 6:00.
No way would I have been able to do that on a "normal" morning.
