      Just peeking in @mousiegirl to tell you I love biscotti and especially gingerbread.

I remember all those old tv series and still catch them on TV Land and others once in awhile.

    Everyone: I love this picture and put up the suet feeder. I haven't been feeding birds because the seeds bring deer. Then, I remembered suet with hot pepper to detract the deer and squirrels. 

     I haven't used regular suet because it's not good for dogs and Snicker' fenced area is nearby. She shouldn't eat the spicy!  I've seen birds fly with it in their beaks and don't want it dropped.  I like to watch the birds from my kitchen bay window. 
     I've really missed them the last two years. Small nuthatches have been eating today, wrens and a cardinal family. They're all getting energy before the snow coming tomorrow afternoon and turning to sleet and rain with wind on Monday.

@mousiegirl  The old TV series were the best! I watched Ozzie and Harrier as a teenager because Rickey Nelson was so cute and popular. 
   What a shame he died in that plane crash! 
 @viva923  I hope your granddaughter does okay, I'm glad your husband could take her the medicine. 
  @AnikaBrodie  and Ed  You are wise to stay home in the snow and especially ice. Coffee at home is the best with bad weather. If it's bad on the roads when Ed's appointments are due maybe you can get a Uber or taxi, be safe! 
   @possummink  I hope your oil holds out and you and the kitties stay warm be careful if driving!
  Everyone:  My granddaughter in South Dakota had 12" of snow in the backyard and two in the front due to wind, it was 5 degrees!
   Keep dry and warm and safe in the bad weather !

For the friends that live up the east coast, you will probably receive some very high wind gusts that are coming through here in B'ham. now.  Tie things down and sit in the center of the house if you have big trees.  God Bless!

I loved the Alfred Hitchcock hour and Ozzie and Harriet, there are many old shows that were well written and spoken. I always look for those shows on retro tv stations among others. Look at Twilght Zone still relevant !

It's 1:35 am here and I can't sleep because of the wind.  It's like a hurricane is coming inland.  I sure will be glad when it's over.  I can hear a lot of stuff being blown about and sometimes a really strong gust will make me fear about trees coming down.  Our weather people didn't tell us about this wind storm.  Go away wind...

Good morning everyone.  I just did a damage check in my yard and everything looks good.  I think that it was my garbage can that was blowing about.  The wind has passed by and now there is a wrap around system coming around.  Our temps are going to lower now and then rain to snow.  The ground is warm but decks and upper roads and bridges will get icy.  

Blessings to all of you who have already gotten your snow or those of you who are expecting it soon.  I still have my power, I hope you all don't loose your power and heat.  I'm laying down now to get some rest.  God Bless You!

It is very cold this morning.  It was minus 1 earlier but is now up to 4 above! and partly sunny.  The snow will arrive late this afternoon and the freezing rain is expected after midnight.  So, we'll be home til late morning on Monday when Ed goes for radiation, unless they call to reschedule again.  We're hoping that gives the road crews time to treat the roads and streets and sidewalks.

We're staying home today.  I have lots of food on hand including milk and bread.  Ed's been making a lot of milkshakes so we may need milk on Monday.  I'm planning to make soup and toasted cheese sandwiches for lunch.  Supper will be choice of smoked pork chops or ham slice with veggies.  Neighbors brought us coffee cake yesterday.

Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers for Ed.  He is resting a lot, reading some, and still napping during the day.  So far, he is doing well and we hope that continues.
