@possummink The Tea Room serves coffee too. I'm glad you like the winter thread.
I hope Fred has an easy, smooth flight in February. I do hope he will be safe and comfortable. I saw the picture you posted on the Coca Cafe and what a regal fellow he is.
Did I read that more of your family want to join the service? I saw the post, but needed to get the new thread posted and when I went back I couldn't find it. Kudos to all your family who have and/or is serving.

Puddles, Jillian's husband, Thomas, is thinking of joining the Army. He needs some direction and help in finding the right 'career', job. He has had several jobs, but hasn't found what he 'needs' to make a living to support their growing family. Jillian works at Le Crueset, but they don't give her enough hours and have promised, over and over, to give her more hours. The Army would mean a temporary separation for boot camp, but it's got a lot of benefits, including health benefits and discipline and regimentation. The Navy was one of the best things ever for my son. It helped him get oriented into a lifelong career and he loved it and it helped him tremendously in return. He's very dedicated to his career and is excellent at it. Hard work and sacrifice pay off, for sure. My daughter in law is much the same. Both are awesome persons, and that's not just mama bragging.
My son and my brother both put in over 20 years in their respective branches of service, Navy for my son and Air Force, (4 years, Viet Nam) and then the rest of his time in the Army for my brother. My daughter in law had almost 14 years in the Marines, when they wanted to send her on a 6 month deployment. She had two sons then and came out of the Marines at that time, but stayed with government service. Both she and my son still work for the DOD. Charlie was in the Air Force, and I had uncles, cousins etc in the service. My dad did medical exams for the military back during WW2. Kind of a service oriented family along with medicine.
Fred is a cutie, a big one, but such a very sweet and cuddly cat. I really do miss him and worry about him. He is my grandcat, after all.
