I am so sad that I will have to miss this:
Giraffe Cam will go dark Friday at 4:30 pm eastern. We will all be there to say goodbye.

I was just thinking of looking to see what I have in pineapple too. I can't tell you the last time I made an upside down pineapple cake.
My cough is all but gone. It's about time; I had it for nearly a month. It's still there at night but not as bad.
It's sunny but cool in our neighborhood today. It's supposed to be mid 70s by mid-afternoon. Saturday and Sunday will be 60 deg.
I hope your electrical work is done in record time. I hate being without electricity even for a short period. Are we spoiled or what?

Sorry the cameras are going dark on the beautiful giraffes. Is this too expensive to continue?

20 april
hello guys today
my goodness what a wonderful variety of photo's today, enjoyed all of them.
had to run to grocery store. found out today we can no longer use any of that 3-4-5 ply bath tissue. seems with mobile home plumbing, only scott's septic tissue is the best. now i have to get rid of case lots of the nice soft bath tissue. going to give as much as my kids want to take but i know they won't be able to take all of case lots.
lima beans. when i lived in California many years ago we lived across hightway RT 1 coast highway. there was many lima bean fields across from our housing. when lima beans were harvested, it was stench city. not sure as to why, but it was awful smell, you would actually get sick from the stench.
tonight i have to attend a special dinner for dh tonight at his place of work. it is being held at a country club near the main hospital in delaware. the workers who celebrate so many years of service to the company get an award and special dinner. dh went over 25 yrs at this place. one of the men being honored is over I believe what dh said last night 35-40 yrs. this man is retiring come end of year.

"Jordan Patch, owner of the park, said the camera has been focused on April since mid-February. It's time to move on and get ready for the park's opening on May 13, which is when April and the calf can be viewed by the public for the first time."
Tomorrow we travel back to Rochester to take my Mom back to her doctor so I won't be home for this but I do get the text updates and check Animal Adventure Park on Facebook many times each day. The naming contest will run a little over two weeks. I have already voted but may need to vote again. My choice for a name is "Alyssa's choice". Alyssa is April's keeper and they share a very special bond.
DH already checked out the number of miles between here and Harpursville, NY. Too long of a drive for me. I wouldn't be able to ride that long

Since today is Pineapple Upside Down Cake day I checked for a recipe in the Recipes Forum and found this one posted by doglover3. It calls for an 8x8" pan -- but I have and will make it in a 9" pan.
Recipe – Pineapple Upside Down Cake (8x8" pan)
Oven temp. 350 deg., glass 325 deg., bake 40 min. until done.
Drain 1 can sliced pineapple, reserve juice
In 8 x 8 square pan, melt 4 tablespoon butter and 1 cup packed brown sugar. When melted arrange 9 slices of pineapple side by side and set 9 cherries into holes. Set aside.
Cake mixture:
Beat 4 eggs until frothy
Add 1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tablespoon juice from pineapple
Beat and pour over the pineapple ...Bake. When cool, turn upside down on platter.
