This reminds me that my sister used to bake and decorate cakes.  Beautiful cakes for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions, just because, etc.

Our town has a 4th of July Committee and we celebrate big time at our town park, starting with a 5K race and tennis tournament in the morning.  Then a pet parade, a talent competition, fun and games galore, a chicken bar-be-cue, an evening festival, entertainment by ReCreation (you may have heard of them), and fireworks to top it off.  People from all over our area turn out for the festivities.

Wow, the 4th celebrations sound fantastic and non stop.  No wonder people come from all over to attend the events.

I'll be babysitting my elderly granddog on the 4th while DD goes camping.  The dog is a rat terrier is partially blind, mostly deaf and very stiff.  I don't let her jump off the deck or anything, pick her up and carry her.  She mostly sleeps.
