Re: THE SIDEWALK CAFE......join us to cool off with your favorite Summer drink.

Good morning everyone,

We went to see Mr. X yesterday and he was in an okay mood. He has not been eating well and his daughters think he might have had another mild stroke. He was talkative with us and we had some laughter also.

I have put this in God's hands and am taking things one day at a time. Praying for the best outcome.

We had a storm on Tuesday evening that was on mentioned yesterday on The Weather Channel. Winds in excess of 90 MPH, rain, thunder and lightning. The trees and other things took quite a beating.

Trees completely uprooted, split and tree limbs everywhere. Electricity was out in certain places around town. We had two live electric lines on the ground and 22 plus hours without complete electricity.

Last night another storm came through.

For today they're forecasting more of the same.

I need to get in gear and throw everything away in the fridge and freezer and  get them cleaned out.

Then write a list and go grocery shopping to replace everything.

I hope everyone is well and that today is a wonderful Thursday!

I will try to check in later and view the wonderful pictures.

Re: THE SIDEWALK CAFE......join us to cool off with your favorite Summer drink.

Hi Everyone!  I love the title of this new blog.  It has been so hot and humid here that a cool Summer drink is perfect.   The humidity has been so thick it's like hitting the wall when I go outside.  I've had to hire a lawn mowing service to avoid heat exhaustion.

Had my dental and eye checks done before the kids go back to school.  All good.  I had Lasik in 2005 and just this year has there been a slight change in vision.  I'm getting new reading glasses.  My eyes have become really dry. I've added Omega 3 and wetting drops and see how that works.  Otherwise I'll be getting a prescription for Restasis.

I took advantage of the Day 3 special and orderd a couple skirts.  Linea and Dennis Basso.

Busy downsizing still.  My goal is to be in a smaller house by next year.  I just have too much house for me to manage.

Hope everyone is doing well!  Waving hi to all!

Hi @elegantprofile

I have suffered with dry eyes for several years. Mine has been severe, and Restasis has helped me quite a bit. I use it twice a day, and rarely use over the counter drops. Restasis takes a few weeks to become effective. It is expensive, but worth it for me. Nothing else I tried helped. If you have any questions about my experience let me know.

Hi Possummink,

This reminds me of our Miss Kitty that we had for about 18 years. She loved to get in with the towels. Smiley Happy My DH never like it too much, but he tolerated and lived over it. He doesn't seem any worse for wear. Smiley Happy

I miss those happy times, although at the time, I did not realize just how blessed that I was. Carefree days with my sweet family, including our sweet fur babies.

This is so sweet. Smiley Happy The cast on her leg is just adorable, although I know she will feel better once it is off. I missed how she broke her leg.

Re: THE SIDEWALK CAFE......join us to cool off with your favorite Summer drink.

Earlier this morning I wrote about the storms we have had.

I cleaned the fridge and freezer. I made out the grocery list.

I went to the grocery store and thought I had hit the jackpot when there were only a few cars in the lot. I am happy I don't have to deal with a busy grocery store!

I walked into the store, only to find out that the store lost electricity with last night's storm and all the refrigerated and frozen items were thrown away. The produce that is chilled was also tossed.

We have severe storms forecasted for today also.

Maybe tomorrow is my day to go grocery shopping!

LOL 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Tissyanne,   I don't think anyone saw her break her leg.   What I read was that she was racing down a hallway and came back limping.  Don't know if she ran into anything, jumped off of something,  etc.   I do know she's one of the most rambunctious kittens I've ever seen.   She's almost always running, jumping, wrestling, etc.  That cast hasn't slowed her down one bit.    I think she'd still find  a way to be active even if she was hogtied. Cat Very Happy
