Your homemade chili sounds good. I love chili in the winter. Smiley Happy Amore was up very late last night. He has napped most of today. He has most everything a kitty could want. Smiley Happy This looks just like him.

@Tissyanne  I wanted to share the chile recipe we make. You might have a better recipe.

1 pound hamburger or ground turkey or ground chicken breasts

1 large yellow onion diced

1-3 jalapeños minced

1/2 or 1 pkg. Williams (low sodium) chile seasoning

2 cans Mrs. Grimes chile beans (no salt added)

1 small can diced green chilis

1 32oz. Bottle of V8 spicy (low sodium)

1 can diced fire roasted tomatoes

1 can tomato sauce (low sodium)

Minced Garlic

Cook meat of choice with onion, jalapeños, chile seasoning and garlic. Add other ingredients and bring to boil. Reduce heat.  Simmer for 1-2 hours.

Your recipe sounds wonderful. My DH would add shredded cheese on top. Smiley Happy I am avoiding cheese almost completely in the past year. It is very high in points on WW. I notice you use low sodium products. I buy a lot of low sodium also.

Today has been peaceful here. I even took a late nap a while ago. I was very tired last night, and did not get to sleep until late.

LOL!  My DH adds shredded cheese and sour cream on top. Then he has sliced cheese and crackers also. Your DH may be my DH's new best bud!

Delightful is the word that comes to mind when you mentioned your much needed nap.

@Tissyanne

I was catching up on some of the posts and read that you were thinking of making an ENT appointment. IMHO this is a great idea.

The ENT's I have seen have been very helpful. Your left eye  becoming inflamed may very well be sinus related.

I encourage you to take some pictures of your eye to show the doctor also.

When my sinus cavities become inflamed I feel pressure around my eyes and I have redness under my eyes and on my eyelids also. Also my eyes hurt and I have light sensitivity from the pressure on my eyeballs.

Hoping your Christmas was all you wished for.  See you in the morning unless you go shopping for bargains.  Weatherman is predicting freezing rain from 4 am to 1 pm on Monday.  If so, I'm staying put.  Sweet dreams and blessings to one and all.

@butterfly123, I think that I am going to make an appt. with an ENT dr. as soon as the holidays are over. I have seen 3 different eye drs. with no real answers, and it does seem to go beyond dry eyes. When my left eye flares up there is pressure behind my eye, and a feeling of pulling. I am not sure that is dry eye. Thank you.
