I'm glad the humidity has decreased in your part of the world.  Humidity is so hard on the lungs.

@hellie jo  You're in Michigan right?  Did storms just rip through your part of the state?  We just had rain and I'm watching the skies because we're under a severe thunderstorm watch.  It's goes to 10 pm so my nerves are gonna be shot until then, lol.

Oh well, if I lose power at least it is supposed to be a little cooler tomorrow and the next couple of days.

I heard two funny expressions to describe the heat today:

Hot as Satan's armpit

Feels like Hell's front porch

@Bird mama  Yes we just had a storm here,It got dark as night and poured for about 1/2 hour. Also some wind.Now it is somewhat dark and no wind at all,and no rain at this time.

Great. when I think of Satan's armpit I thimk of STINK!! LOL

Now it is dark as night again and very still.I don"t like this.

@hellie jo  I know exactly the kind of weather you are talking about.  It's the kind where you don't see a single bird or squirrel.  When nature makes itself scarce, I get concerned. 

I wish WXYZ would break in for some kind of weather update.

The heavy rain I mentioned yesterday was the only 'weather event' that came through my area.  We didn't get a second line of storms. It looks like the sun is trying to come out and stay out.

went outside one today to the screened deck. Temp.was about 95deg.

the heat index was 108.

Will not be going outside unless it’s absolutely necessary. Everyone stay cool.

@Epicurean   Yep, you're getting more of what I had.  A cool front is moving in here and I just heard some more rain falling on the roof of the family room.  We need rain, just not flooding rain.  I am looking forward to a couple of 70 degree days.
