just heard from my son.....their 14 year-old yellow lab crossed the bridge today.....and their 11 year-old son just tested positive for covid......wish there was something i could do to ease their pain.......just an awful time for everyone......

As far as their fur baby, it's always so hard since they're one of the family as well.  When our pets age, it's like waiting for the "other shoe to drop" and any loss is difficult for a child.  Your heart breaks for the pet, as it breaks again because of your child's pain.

My 11 year old grandson tested positive at Thanksgiving and thankfully he was asymptomatic.  The rest of the household had it and were down with flu like symptoms for a few days.  My grandson was bouncing off the walls with boredom!

Not sure if your grandson is sick or just tested positive, but I bet he is feeling really horrible about the dog.  That alone would break my heart in two.
