They already do it on cell phone numbers.

It's like you don't even have any choice now, but to be constantly harrassed by these people/entities. This ires me to no end.

O/T Does anyone use the speaker phone feature regularly and can recommend a phone? I don't care so much about blocking numbers, but we need a good speaker phone. That is why we've had to replace our last two Panasonic sets. It becomes all static and unusable so I hesitate to buy more Panasonics.

I reregistered both the house and cell phones on the donot call list a few weeks ago. That cut all but political calls. I tell them I never give donations or info over the phone and ask to be removed from their list. Don't tell anyone but the last several days have been quiet. Now I my junk email is loaded, and I do mean loaded, by junk that appears to be personal. I checked 1 and they say that I asked them to contact me about making money on line. I have never even thought of doing such a thing let alone check out such a site. I am wasting time having to check all junk mail for items I need because it seems that evidently my docs change something in their address periodically and I cannot miss it. I put a block on all the scams but this invasion is infuriating. I did not sign up or give permission for any medical office I deal with to correspond with me in their medical portal. I can not be bothered to check the portal several times per day just if case. They have my phone number and can leave a message. I do not want any more people than need be to know my medical history or my private life. That is why it is called private. That word used to mean something.

VanSleepy. We have a AT&T speaker phone we use, its 4 yrs old and going strong CL4940. Also have a chordless one with 4 handsets we love and they have the speaker phone as well, it's # is CL82413(AT&T) it is also doing great. We got them direct from AT&T web site.
