I'm so sick of all the robo calls that I get, but when the called ID said it was Bed Bath and Beyond calling I was curious. So I answered, and the person wanted the lady of the house. So I says, what do you want? She identified herself and said that they supported babies and then wanted to know if I was pro choice. Shocking.
I'm sure it was some other organization that just used BBB name and changed the number to look like it was a local call. I hung up without getting into a conversation with her,.... but really

I really doubt the call was truly from Bed Bath and Beyond.

Ewww, creepy!
Yeah, a lot of them do put some fake name on the Caller ID that makes it sound like somebody you might want to talk to.
Fortunately, for me anyway, my circle is so small anymore that I know 100% of the time that it's not somebody I want to talk to.

I used to engage the callers in a conversation and give them a hard time for fun. Not anymore. The calls are too numerous and the topics are not to my liking. So much for the Do Not Call List.

I NEVER answer the phone unless it is a personal friend or family. Anyone else can leave a message.

Smart idea to quit. You can request a phone with the area code of your choice and appear to be anyone from anywhere.
All while calling you from 50' down your street while watching your house.

Speaking of phones, @Annabellethecat66 has one that blocks 300 numbers, Panasonic. Which model was that @Annabellethecat ? Thank you.

@bonnielu The DNC registry is a joke. All theater. Made to look as if They are doing something to help. They are doing nothing, unless, you can call receiving money from these very same companies. Don't depend on Them. I use NoMoRobo. They use an algorithm. The people on this very forum cued me in on it. There are others that can be used. Search for the topics. Good luck.

Hold on I kept the box! I'll go get it... I got it on HSN because I don't shop in stores but I'll get it and even give you the number.
OK, went there and it says sold out but here it is 160-6147.
You can get it other places though.
Panasonic KX-TGF353, it has 3 wireless handsets and 1 corded handset with large ID numbers, it announces loudly the number and name of who is calling. It has a button on each phone set that says, "Block Number" You push that and it asks, "Block this number" and you push YES. My calls (ROBO mis calls) have almost entirely stopped and I was getting several A DAY! I was going crazy! I think it says you can block up to 250 calls! I'll get a call and it will say from CALL BLOCK so they still try and I don't know what it says, but it sure works!
It even came with all of the batteries for each phone!
Good luck. I'd go on line to google it and find it, maybe Best Buy.
