This singer had a tragic accident along time ago, can you guess the song from the lirics?

Crazy
I'm crazy for feeling so lonely
I'm crazy
Crazy for feeling so blue
I knew
You'd love me as long as you wanted
And then some day
You'd leave me for somebody new
Worry
Why do I let myself worry?
Wondering
What in the world did I do...
Oh, crazy
For thinking that my love could hold you...
I'm crazy for trying
And crazy for crying
And I'm crazy for loving you
Crazy
For thinking that my love could hold you...
I'm crazy for trying
And crazy for crying
And I'm crazy for loving
You...

Re: Song Of The Week (part 3)

Patsy Cline. Willie Nelson helped her write it.

I am not that familiar with Patsy Cline.  What was the tragic accident?

Patsy Cline died in a horrible plane crash.  She and Hank Williams, both musical legends left this earth at very young ages, both died tragically.  I am not a country western music fan but these two are definitely exceptions.

One of my favorite songs. I knew what it was as soon as I read the first word.

Re: Song Of The Week (part 3)

"Crazy" was Patsy Cline's first recording after a serious head-on auto collision in June '61. It was released  October '61 .  Willie Nelson had entitled the song "Stupid" but changed it.       Patsy didn't like the song at all. Her manager convinced to her try it.  Because she was still in some pain after her accident - she had difficulty hitting high notes - it took awhile and she ended up doing her voical solo which was then dubbed over her studo musicians' instrumental.
