That sounds awfully expensive for oranges.  Especially at Costco!  What kind are they?

Re: Something I noticed about prices

In my neck of the woods, I can purchase a 5 lb-10 lb bag of oranges for 3.99.  The # of oranges depends on how small they are.

On sale - $1.99.

I would never pay $8 for a bag of oranges.

@Krimpette @My dh says the oranges were actually 9.00 and they are the Bee sweet...they are dry too so not worth the price.

You can return anytihing at anytime at Costco.  I've returned food items several times.  Obviousy you need to return most of the quantity of the item.  You don't need your receipt as Costco has a record of everything you buy.

I don't think comparing a product that's harvested and is dependant on that growing season's weather is comparable t-shirts being mass produced in China.

I get what you're saying, just think the comparison you chose is 'apples to oranges'.

Re: Something I noticed about prices

@x Hedge lol you are of course right but I just found it surprising that a few oranges cost more than a shirt...never noticed how much the price of food has risen in comparison to clothing prices.I would not have mentioned if I had bought a case of oranges for that price.
