If it's not my cable they are stealing, I'd mind my own business. The cable company can take care of itself and I don't believe in making trouble for people just because I can. Not over something as trivial as that.

It is theft of service, it is a crime. I would report it to the cable company and let them investigate it all.

I bet those 13 kids abused by their parents all of their lives would disagree with that.

There's room for you both to be right. There's a big difference between ignoring cable TV theft and ignoring child or spousal abuse.

I don't know about that. If society tolerates theft, where does that lead us? Are we to look the other way, and is that partly why we are where we are? No judgment, no penalty, no law?

I am just tossing that out, not making a comment specific to this situation or the OP.

Considering most of us pay upwards of $200+ a month for the privilege of cable, all these freeloaders just make our rates go up. If for no other reason, report them for that.
