No, I'm not sad about the Olympics ending. I watched off and on and am happy for all the athletes to have made it so far.

No....I've watched very little of the Summer or Winter Olympics the last 20 years or so.  It just doesn't hold the interest that it once did for me.  I did think I'd watch a lot more of it this year but I just couldn't get into it......not even the gymnastics held my interest like it once did.  Overall, I did watch a little  more this time than I have previously but am not sad they're over.  I didn't even watch the closing ceremony and only a little bit of the opening ceremony.

Re: So are you sad?

No. I watched the events that interested me, but I very quickly grew weary of NBC's tired formula of picking 1 or 2 athletes and focusing on them, as if they were some sort of annointed saviors. The constant cutting away from the actual competition to point out "celebrities" in the audience was also annoying.

I'm Happy it's over.  NBC and Peacock did an absolutely fabulous job.  I thoroughly enjoyed the coverage.  I was glued to my TV.  I fell in love with Paris.   France gave us an Olympics that will be impossible to compete with.  LA will do it's thing and likely be great on a Southern CA way but it won't compare to Paris for me.  I feel I have just returned from a European vacation and now I need to sleep and get caught up on my Netflix shows.

Not sad it's over, but it flew by.  I watched some, but not all.  I actually like the Winter Olympics better.  The good thing is we get more Olympics in two years.  I did enjoy the gymnastics, swimming and diving.  I do think Paris was lovely and did a great job.  All the athletes amaze me.

@ID2  - If you are going to make a comment like that, you should at least explain what you found/what was disgusting about the Olympics?

Or, are you just looking to start an argument.Just curious.

"Disgusting" is a really, really, really, really strong adjective for something you didn't spend "a second" on.
