Small vac for cat litter -not cordless

I need a small powerful vacuum to use daily for cat litter. I have tried many and if they are small and lightweight they dont seem to have enough suction. I want something I can use easily to not have to drag out the full size vacuum each day, because to be honest, I just don't bother 😡

HSN sells one that we use almost exclusively for cat food (we have three kitties) and misc dust bunnies.  I would assume that this would work on litter as well.  It is more powerful than you think.  It is called :

Ewbank Chilli 3 Cyclonic Handheld/Stick Vacuum

Re: Small vac for cat litter -not cordless

Hi msme

I've tried several small corded vacs for our big feline family and did not like any of them. They all were more work having to clean the filters than any big vacs I have ever owned, and that is many.

Our Hoover steerable upright has been the easiest. I make sure the canister is empty/plug it in the "click and go connector"/put on 1of the several tools that came with it, and zoom, picks up every piece of litter. I dump what is in the canister right back into the litter box.

I've tried the Chilli III/Eureka 1 other one and the we're not worth the work cleaning the filter every time I used them. Other than that? Roomba was the best.

I had the Chilli III, and unless they have changed it, you have to remove the filter every time you empty the bin. And they did not make that easy. I tried it for a week and sent it back. Was more work and mine really did not pick up the lilitter very well.

Looked good, but sure didn't satisfy me, not for almost $60.

I love the small Bissel floor vac - I have 2 litter boxes - this does the job.  It is lightweight and has a cord.  Got it at W  mart for under $20.  Also easy to empty and clean. I've had it for over a year and never had any problems with it.

Re: Small vac for cat litter -not cordless

I know you said “not cordless” but…I have several cats and the only thing I have found that works, is small and handy is: Black & Decker Pivot Vac 18V Cordless Pivoting Hand Vac, PHV1810

I got mine at Target several years ago (Amazon carried it, too)and it was so good I bought several to have around the house for other quick vac needs. The suction is much stronger than other similar products I have tried and it always works on litter for me.

You might also try Dirt Devil – I used to have their corded handheld and it was great, too.

@dennylilly

I don't chase cat litter, I chase bird seed (have 3 birds).  What works for me is a corded bissell featherweight bagless vac.  Kind of like a black and decker dust buster on a cord.

You can go long handled, short handled and remove the head

This is what the filters look like

If you get hair or dust bunnies on it, I recommend dampening a paper towel and brushing the filter off.
